Welcome everyone to the 2012-2013 Rock Hard 1.9 Scaler Series brought to you by L.E.R.K.

For those who aren't familiar with LERK we are located in Central Valley California and most of are events are located in or around the central valley

This season we opened a new page in our scaler series bringing in class1 with the already popular class2. This season we'll have 3 courses for class1 and 4 courses for class2.

These courses well consist of 10-15 gates per course with bonuses like 3 gate bonus, bonus progression and bonus land as well as a few 2 lap courses. There well also be little TTC bonuses throught the season.

Update. All events well be on sunday and it'll be a 7 part series with one throw away comp, So if you make all the events then your worst comp out of the 7 well be thrown out but if you miss one event and make the rest then that one event that you didn't make well be your throw away comp.

For the season there well be a $20 per class entry fee and if your planning on running both classes it'll only be $15 a class, So both classes $30 only a single class $20. You have till the second event to pay entry fee for the season. We well have trophys for 1-3 place in both classes as well as a huge giveaway for people who sign up for the season only.

You don't have to pay for the season to just come have fun and run with some great people, Were always looking for more people to come out and have fun with our little toy trucks.

Link below has all info regarding scale rules
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/scale-comp-rules/367585-2012-sorcca-scale-rules.html

Class1 info:
Class-1 “Street” Details:
• Vehicle must have a windshield that fills the entire windshield frame.
• Full width bumpers are required on the front and rear of the vehicle. Bumpers that are molded into the body qualify. A rear bumper is not required on a flatbed, but adding one to the flatbed will gain the additional scale points. (Bumpers are measured from the outsides and must be the width of your windshield).
• Wheels must be aligned within the body wheel wells (center of wheels to center of wheel wells +/- 1/2 inch total combined)
• The vehicles body must be mostly intact. Only mild trimming such as flairs & removing a hardtop are allowed. If the hardtop is removed, a full interior is required (no extreme trimming of bodies allowed *See below.)
• The tread of the tires cannot extend outside of the wheel wells more then 1/2 of the tread width, flairs can be added to reach min. spec.
• Vehicle must run a full length rail chassis (The rail chassis must be as long as the vehicles wheelbase)(Tamiya CC-01 chassis are allowed).
• Truggies are not allowed, flatbeds with full length rail chassis are allowed. The bed must be as wide as the cab the entire length of the bed. Cab only not allowed.
• Tires can never extend beyond the body’s bumpers or the rear of any truck bed. (Any stingers, fairleads, shackles, bolts, etc are not considered part of a bumper when determining this.)
• Dovetailing is not allowed.
• Sectioning or narrowing of the body is not allowed.
• Bobbing a truck bed is allowed, but must follow all body specs.
• Boat sides are not allowed.
• 106mm / 4.19" Max tire size including spares.
• Gates will be a minimum of 11" wide (so mind your width).

Class2 info:
Class-2 “Trail” Details:

• Body/cage work must be at least 4.5" tall (including boat sides) and the inside of the front tires cannot extend outside of the width of the cab at the doors.
• A front bumper is required and must be mounted to the vehicle's rail chassis and must be wider than the outside of the chassis rails (chassis cross rails do not count as bumpers).
• You must run a full rail chassis, and the chassis (including bumpers) must be 3" longer than the wheelbase (this includes a chassis with a truggy rear frame).
•Truggies are allowed, but you must replace the ladder frame behind the cab with tube, and the truggy rails must extend past the rear axle pumpkin to be legal. The bed must have a roll bar hoop and integrated shock mounts. It also must be a structural part of the rear of the vehicle. (If your bed does not meet ALL of the preceding criteria, it does not count as a truggy bed).
• Flatbeds that run the full length of the rail chassis are allowed. The bed must be as wide as the cab the entire length of the bed.
• 2 of the 3 following modifications are allowed:
- Dovetailing the rear (a truggy/tube bed that is narrower than the cab counts as a dovetail).
- Boat sides (no more than 1" measured vertically).
- Pinching the front (2/3 the width of the widest part of the cab).
• Sectioning or narrowing of the body is not allowed.
• 120mm / 4.75" max tire size with a 2.2 max rim size including spare.
• Gates will be a minimum of 12" wide (so mind your width).

That's sucks what club runs first sat? It was my understanding that there was no 2.2 club events on the first weekend. As far as 2nd place ....doubt it8)

Looking forward to running both classes, Don try to get out sometime. It would be good to see you Spencer.

I'm with Donnie about the Saturday conflicts. Last season I could count on making the events because they were on Sundays. I don't think I will make many, if any, Saturday events because of work. My scores kept getting better last year, I was hopijng to be a top contender this year. Oh well, I gotta work so I can afford my toy cars.

Maybe J can figure out a way for people to sign up for Sat only for the season or Sun only and pull from the season standings of the 2 groups to create the final..Just a thought..;-)

For me, no matter how many events I make or how well I do it's about supporting the club, the events and some competition while hanging out with friends.. Not trophies, swag or bragging rights..

I know Jason does not have to throw these comps or keep LERK alive.. He does it for us and to keep a good thing going.

Hey fellas, I think that eventhough Saturdays work good for me, as all my weekends are free... I didn't think about all the guys that work or do things with their kids on Saturday. I really want all my buddies (all you guys) to come out and run with us! "thumbsup" Sundays work great for me also and we've got over a month till the first comp, don't start making other plans just yet! "thumbsup"

who was sat better for.i think as a club we should have talked before jrock made a change.thats what clubs do or is there no say in it.

I think it's time we have our first meeting!

A club meeting would be cool... and run some courses too (get down with the minis)! That sounds good to me! "thumbsup" Also I was talking to JRock and he said that we will most likely be going back to comps on Sundays, due to him also being busy Saturdays. So maybe it's all gonna work out fellas!

Annyways the season has had a turn around anyway and because of my wifes new job and the lack of me and her not communicating on dates, Her new job is going to have most of her clients on saturdays and so were going to just do sundays like we've allways did it"thumbsup"
