RC Rally Legends

I like the rally legends, particularly the fiat. I really prefer kits though. I'm still hoping Tamiya comes out with some new bodies for the XV-01 platform. I really like the Toyota Yaris WRC. just looks like it would go well with the Subaru.

We have these RC cars over here in Aus, there called Peter Brock Toranas and they look like they use the exact same chassis, they also handle really well in the dirt where my fried drives his, there also the same price and have all the same things included. They have been out over here for about 6 months, the rally cars look very similar to te Toranas

I just went on the Euro Rally Legends site and for some Reason the List three Manufacture badges... Lancia, Abarth, Alfa Romeo... Wonder if we will have some more bodies soon...

Plus this is a bump for Keith.

Thanks. So have we pretty much decided the Rally Legends and Madspeed are basically the same chassis. Rally Legends definetely have sweet bodies.

Yes they are the same, event the motors are the same, but check out the Rally Legends site they have a lot of upgrades for these rigs to make them a really solid platform.

Even so I beat on mine pretty well and didn't have any major issues.

I wonder if they are even the same plastic compound?

I've got a couple Exceed RC cars, and generally, the plastic is ok. Regardless, it looks like replacements/upgrades will be available at either website.

The Brushless Mad Speed comes with the LED controller, and if you go with the brushed verson for $110, an LED controller is only $19 extra.

Looks like you can get a madspeed, a few upgrades (aluminum hubs/knuckles, etc) and then grab a rally body and wheels/tires from RC Rally Legends, and have the same thing essentially (with upgrades), but for a little less money.

Rally Legends definitely has some cool bodies, and I'm interested to see what they have coming up.

Its really got me to thinking. Madspeed + rally tires + Hpi Subaru body = cheap rally fun. Upgrade as you go and as stuff breaks.

I like that fiat, was thinking of getting one and dropping a Traxxas brushless system in it.

"thumbsup" I pulled the trigger on the Fiat Tuesday night, can't wait for it to get here.

This rally stuff has taken my spending to a whole new level and the Mrs. is just shaking her head telling me I have a problem. lol.

Post a lot of pic please and let me know how you like it. Any plans to go brushless?

Will do when it arrives,.... and probably run it stock for a little while but my other rally cars are brushless so this one will most likely follow suit.

Would the traxxas system be good for a rally car you think? Plan on putting one in my Exo for now, cause I can't shell out the money for the tekin I really want right now. But I'll rip it out and throw it in the rally once I upgraded my Exo. If I got the rally of course.

I think the system itself would be fine but those Velineon ESC just seem a little on the large side for the little 1/10 rally cars.

I'm sure you could squeeze it in.

The VXL esc would be a tight fit.

My MadSpeed has the chassis brace.

If you had that you could mount the esc on top of it and have plenty of room. Since the Rally Legends are the same chassis it should work. $3.00 plus shipping from nitrorcx.com would be about $8. Upper Deck (Aluminum) Grey
