Ickabob, Good morning to you, how are you feeling today?
I am leaning toward a Tekin 45T motor for the LNC from the hobby shop in Palm Desert.

With all the money your dropping in that you should/could buy a losi comp rig with everything you every wanted and more. Stop the insanity, your never Make it as good as a comp rig. There are thousands of them out there to buy....plus the best upgrade you can do is get the HB Rovers white dot.

You're right about that. I did that back in the day when the kid was into racing the nitro stuff. I would buy a roller, replace worn parts then put new engine, servo's etc. a couple of times we ended up with a good machine and spending less than the latest and greatest. Sometimes the kid did better than people with newer more expensive equipment but it was always in the back of my mind, "if he had the new one would he be beating that guy?" I wasn't gonna spend the money to find out. That's why we got into the scalers.

(Pardon my longwindedness, I'm all jacked up on coffee).

As far as the smack talk goes,
Get that rig done so I can whoop you down like a Rockin, opps I mean dog"thumbsup"

Now for the smack talking, I think he's getting into comp because he's scared of the Super Cheeto. :lmao:

Somehow my new message ended up in the quote above. but it's in there.

Got myself in deep this weekend. re finishing the bathroom cabinets while the wife's away. I'm in the home stretch but it's kicking my butt.:lmao:

Wow. My dad redid their bathroom about beginning of summer and took a few weeks. Bit off a bit more than he could chew, lol

Home stretch is good though "thumbsup"

Yeah, I'm only trying to get a few more years out of 'em but, dang!

They always seem like a good idea until about 75% through, then you start wondering what you were thinking in the beginning...
Totally, haha

And it's always, "This will be easy. I just have to do this and this and I'm done!" Then you start finding small problems along the way that you have to fix as well. Happened with our bathroom project, lol

Found out why the LNC steering got wonky after a short fall at Bronco Bobby's. Stripped the spline off the servo horn

Dang it, I just wanted to drive it, too!

Sounds like a major project you got yourself into. Good luck with it.

SUCCESS!! Got everything sanded, stained, clear coated and out back together before the wife is back."thumbsup"

Now for the next couple days I'll comment on how sore I am from all the work, usually good for a couple days of massages.

(Armistice, you might want to log that for future use)."thumbsup"

Armistice,
Was the servo horn plastic or aluminum, was the original Losi or another brand?

Plastic. I think it's stock, but I knew it was junk when I saw it. It just looks kind of junky

Noted

So went to the LHS to get a new horn. Ended up getting a new body and paint... forgot the horn, damn it! :lmao:

Actually I got it. Got lucky and they had a blue one in stock, win

Tekin just came out with 45T and 35T HD burshed motor. I think they have bigger magnet just thought I would mention it. They are on CKRC site or Tekin website. I think HD stands for Heavy Duty??
