I am getting into R/C and just got a wraith. After reading a lot on here, I have decided to get a Flysky radio and later mod/hack it. I was wondering. Which one is better to get, a GT3b or C?

As they are functionally the same and can both be hacked the choice really comes down to which you like the look of best.
I have both, I like both. I think the C is better put together.

I only have a "B", but LosiKid (the RCC provider of GT3B/C hacks & mods) has stated that he is happier with the "C" than the "B".
You may need to do a few "fixes" to a "C" depending on when it was made. Minor changes though.

B's are getting harder to come by so only C's will be available eventually. I like my B because that's what I have. If you're planning on going the hacked route, just buy one from LosiKid that's already done.
I'd probably buy one from him hacked and with programming port because I already have a programmer but may or may not feel like tearing it apart at the time. When I did my B I got the bearing, VR, and did the hack. I didn't do the LiPo mod because I get a long time out of my 2000mah AA's.

Every time I check the regular sites to buy unhacked versions they are out of stock. My guess is that the stock of those is becoming limited because the C is out and it would be the logical progression. If that's not the case and I'm wrong I'll be happy because I like my B. I'd probably like a C a little better because it looks slightly more ergonomic though. :mrgreen:

Hobbypartz hasn't been out of stock of the gt3b for along time...you gotta be determined to find a gt3c though, at a good price, i have to order bulk from china to offer my current prices.

I'm not sure if you have already stated your preference between the two B, or C so I will just ask... which do you prefer better and why? I don't want to chase down the answer since you maintain so many useful threads. :ror: thank you for that buy the way.
I already have a B and of course I'll buy a C at some point as a spare or something, but I like my B currently.

Hey, if you do a C with the port installed it looks like that one has female pins as opposed to the male pins for the B hack. I already have a programmer, but want the port installed, do you offer a new cable or a male/male adapter for the cable I already have?

I was wondering if I buy the GT-3C hack kit from the Overkillrc website, does it come with everything that I will need to program my Gmade R1 for rear steering? I set up my R1 for rear steering, but I can't get it to work. I want to set up the GT-3C so I can have front steering, front and rear steering, crab walk, and just rear steering. I never programed a transmitter before, is it going to be hard to do?

does it matter if it is for air? as that is the only one i can find, the only one that says for surface is the 3 channel
