Jeremy's Sporty

Rowdy...you need a new title..."NEW SPEC POLICE" :lmao:

Just trying to keep everyone properly informed. I would hate to see Jeremy turn his bus into a short bus that he cannot use on this rig.

So Jeremy how'd she run with the new changes?

Dammit, forgot that doesn't apply to the S class.

So does that mean some judges are still gonna complain that the stock width of my body is not wide enough, despite the fact that he runs the same body?

So are you coming all the way out to WCShootout with an underwidth body? I know Charlie has a bunch of templates laid out on his tech table. Don't recall him ever checking my width, but could happen. He measures every car for one thing or another, mostly wheelbase.

If I do, then so will everyone else with an Xciter body. The tech judge is welcome to check any spec he likes. "thumbsup"

Well, I just keep racking up the broken parts on my 2.2 rigs...

Nevermind the vampire teeth that my boy insisted on putting in the picture...

I was impressed that the CF links survived! "thumbsup"

Gonna do anything different here? I think a standoff between both screws would make that piece a lot stronger.

I like the new chassis too.

Thanks man. "thumbsup"

Duuuuuude designed his piece to be a bit stronger...the material is slightly thicker and the corners now have a small radius.

I might give that brace a try.

Okay, you made me look.:) My new comp cut Xciter body, which I expect to install for Shootout measures 5 1/8" at the widest point which is down low on the skirt.

Only so many ways to get around that spur. "thumbsup"

Mine uses the same plates for both sides...

I have a another copy of my chassis where both plates match also... I'm just too lazy to swap them out. It would only be for cosmetic purposes anyway.

Same here. The widest point on mine is right at the line running across the door. Just over 5". However, this judge insisted on "eyeballing" that measurement while holding his ruler on the top of the truck and looking down....

You trying to copy me? This chassis is patented! (by someone at Duratrax, I am sure)
:ror:

Well hell yeah I am! I got something to do now (swap plates and re-wire), and when I'm done I'll have a good reason to bump my thread.

When you redid your plates out of CF, did you consider angling the skid which is now all the rage? Or did you decide keeping the geometry unmolested was more important?

Well, I took some direction from those lightweight guys and made up a few simple parts....no fancy tools needed. It took me about 20 minutes to make both of these...

New spur shaft and idler gear shaft out of aluminum:

(was actually flickering between 4 and 5g)

No excess threads:

We'll see how this holds up.
