Blue Spyder JK by CFM: Sons new rig

They're in Arizona Gregg. Met them when I delivered the Poison Spyder rig at Jeep Beach. They wrap the 1:1 Poison Spyder rigs and work with a lot of other 1:1 off road companies.
They have some cool stuff coming for RC though. I'll keep y'all posted.

Alright, here goes a nice little update with plenty of pics. Some of the parts didn't show up today because USPS decided they should go to another town. So I spent the day on detail work.
Installed the wrap

Painted interior black

Made the most out of a 2d interior with decals and 3d accessories. Decals are from the gauge kit from Bowtie, the twin stick shifters, gate shifter, grab bar, steering column and steering wheel are from the Axial interior parts tree. I used press in LED holders for air vents, and Axial flush mount LED holders for rear cup holders.

The Rebel Off-Road seat covers are also from Active Grafix

Used a Proline fuel cell in the rear instead of the stock Axial decal.

Also installed a Proline air compressor dressed up with an air hose and power wires.

Decided I needed direction when G6'n

Just an overall shot of where I am

The iPhone can't get a detailed enough pic, but the lettering underneath Dinky Rc reads miniature engineering. The letters are .030" tall and legible.

Oh yeah, I also got some new goodies for giveaways in today.

That wrap is hitting me hard! Love the color and layout. The scale details are as perfect as usual...Very clean and scale.8)

Pay Mr. Brown a visit and all I get is this tiny Rigid light bar. Lol!!!

In all seriousness, this is one of the sizes I've been begging and waiting for. It's perfect for bumpers and especially for mounting on the hood of the Jeep just like the 1:1 Rigid mount.

Pretty much says it all right there

And for comparison sake. Here is a 6" Rigid with its 50" E series big brother.

Trying to get ready for the G6 in Hot Springs this weekend and realized the SCX width axles weren't gonna cut it. Luckily I have plenty of options laying around and had a spare set of hands in the shop this week. Went with VP wraith assemblies and a hybrid centered rear axle with the aluminum center and plastic tubes to give a little weight bias.
Also got the Krawler Konceptz Poison Spyder Tramp Stamp installed, made a chromoly cage really quick, and got it all wired up.

Also installed a Hand Bros cms servo mount and used the VP pan hard axle mount along with a custom bent panhard that clears with about .020" clearance at full bump.

I also got the first exclusive CFM styled BGR Fab front JK bumper in. These will be sold only through our store and Facebook page. High clearance, and everything is packaged tight around the winch for ultimate protection. We designed this after one of our CFM 1:1 Rubicon bumpers

Cage is 3/16 chromoly. Quick and simple. Adds a home for the 6" VP Rigid light bar and a little different look without going crazy. I only had a couple hours the last few nights to get this finished up and wouldn't have been possible without the return of RCC member bigflex.

Also only had time to get one of my new harnesses in from FullThrottle. These are four point and use an Offroad latch just like my RCI 1:1 belts.

Got the winch re-spooled with Locked Up RC's new extreme duty winch line and also added the new Viking safety thimble from RC4wd.
Time to do work for my first run with this rig and first G6 in Hot Springs

We had a blast at my first big G6 event. Didn't know what to expect going in, it was hot, 101 gates up a mountain of sketchy terrain, ticks trying to get a ride to Texas, and an untested rig.
After 2:02 minutes(I think, plus 20min penalties), losing some nuts holding on links, a loosened set screw on a drive shaft, and a lot of winching, we pulled off a best overall time.

I was at least smart enough to pack an assortment of screws and nuts that allowed me to finish the course. My wife also hiked the entire course with me, major points for her and she had a blast seeing what this was all about.
After crossing the finish line in reverse, I did a quick inspection and found a missing king pin screw from each knuckle, the steering links being held in by about 2 threads, and some relocated bumpers and missing scale items.

Like to thank my team sponsors, Locked Up RC, Dinky RC, and Vanquish Products. Also, the nice scale items from Krawler Konceptz and Full Throttle RC.
Big thanks to BGR Fab for the killer bumper that took a beating and provided plenty of clearance and perfect front end protection.
And the custom cut-n-shut 2.2 PitBull Rock Beast II from Crawler InNovations that found traction on a near vertical jagged wall that had people speechless as to what just happened.

Sweet looking rig. I love that hood louver kit. Dig it, lots of nice goodies under that truck.

The don't have locktite in Texas?:lmao: Glad to hear you finished and had a great time...and the wife enjoying herself....Big win!"thumbsup"

Gregg, everything had blue locktite, going to red now.
Dan, it is but I stole it for the weekend. It's also the CFM shop truck now I guess since its the only rig I have together and is built with parts from Team sponsors and such.
And now I know it can take anything he should dish out to it after surviving the G6. I'm just gonna add a little front weight bias and swap in a MMP so I can run 3s. Miss the power and most likely would have given me a full pull in the sled pull section, still had the best pull though.

When I saw the slack in my winchline as I was backing up, I didn't know what was going on !! LOL I looked over the edge of that bluff we had to climb up (thanks Josh !) And saw your rig just walking up it , I was shocked...took me a winch and my pullpal to scale it, once I got you over the first major vertical climb those tires and foams did the rest of the work..it was awesome to watch that's for sure!
