UPDATE! Last week we acquired an AMB20 electronic timing system! After buying some upgrade components and interfaces, we are happy to report that the system is up and running and we were able to run mock races that were scored flawlessly. "thumbsup"

We will have a total of 19 "house" transponders. 2 sets of 1-10 with the second set missing only number 6. What this means is, all cars in the upcoming heat, after the race on the track, will be ready to go at a staging area. Expect a maximum of 9 cars per heat.

This is going to greatly reduce the wait time between heats, and open up the possibility of more racing for every driver. 8)

Any questions about the system such as mounting can be answered here. We will try to get some pics of the transponders mounted up shortly.

I have never been to the u4rc track but I grew up at Glen Helen. Josh has been trying to get me up there.

Does the amb system have the new software that won't recognize the original amb transponders? If you post a picture of the house rack I will know.

I am pretty sure they are the old ones. They are black if that helps. I'll ask Axelsnapr to get a pic tonight.

Look what showed up from our friends at Axial Racing! These are prizes for the competitors at the U4RC.com series final on Saturday Oct. 5th. at Glen Helen RC Raceway Who wants to see what's inside the boxes??????

Those look like rtr boxes.

Is there a gate fee when we come to the race or do you have your own entrance?

I will have to post up pic later when I get home. Until then I can say it is the older AMB20 system. We are running software that sees the AMB20(black) transponders. I am under the impression the system will also work with the clone transponders that have a 1-10 number ability. These are not the AMBrc ones that are red. Hope this info helps until I can get pics posted.

that is interesting. I have never seen black house sets. I have the DP model, hopefully it will work

Here is a pic of the transponders we will be using at the races. I'm not sure if DP will work. I will try and do a little research and post up before race day....

how do the transponders get power? being a noobe to racing, will it need to plug into a rx port? if so, what if all spare channels are spoken for?
