Some will be familiar with this truck, it was originally owned by Chris/51willysjeep. Chris had contracted a member here to build the body and armor for him some short years back. Chris never finished the truck and when his 1:1 chevelle took priority the truck ended up on the sale forum section. At the time I had just purchased the OG pardonmyn00b 4Runner from Chris and didnt have the funds to grab it. The truck didnt last long and was quickly grabbed up by Lappdog on scale4x4. I didnt see the truck again until this summer at the RC4WD ECSC. Andy did a great job finishing the truck, he opted for the straight from the junkyard look and well, it looks like it did come straight from junk yard :lmao:

Little details include:
Cracked winshield
Bugs on grill and head lights and lens repair tape on market light
missing wiper
primered gate and and fender
rear 1:1 toyota body molding rubber flare
missing passenger door lock cylinder
opening tail gate
n00b fenderwell and rad support kit
Legit interior kit with vise grips for window cranks, taped up dash for cracks, missing stereo with exposed wires, screw driver ignition, mexican throw blanket seat cover, spilled can of coke, scale driver, rear view mirror
valve stems and wheel weights on wheels
etc etc etc

truck is based on the scx10 platform with:
Front CMS/3 link
RC4WD king shocks
pitbull tires
proline tool chest

enough bable, onto pics

Plans for it are simple, swap axial axles for a spare set of ultimate yotas that came out of Subarux, Locked-up RC scale hardware kit

Thanks for looking

yota axles will be sick, that's bout the only thing that keeps you from really scratching the ol'noggin as to wondering if it's rc or not.

very nice/scale rig you got there, love the "junkyard" look"thumbsup"

Thanks, yeah I think the yota axles will really set it off, have a new set of rc4wd asin hubs for it too.

This is going to be one of the thing to watch. You do great work on these toyota.

Andy did a great job already, couple additions and it'll be mint

nice! you always have the coolest rigs.
cant wait to see the axle swap.
you swaping to leafs too?

Not gonna swap leafs...scx chassis is a PIA to use leafs on IMO. No one makes a kit that I am particularly fond of. If the body wasn't so nicely built and attached around the scx with armor and all I would have swapped it onto a TF2 chassis like I did with Rich's OG 4Runner.

Damn mike I swear you find the sweetest rigs.

That firebird sell yet?

Firebird didn't sell:roll: guy says he is hurting for money since holiday... He's got another week or 2 and if he doesn't come up with cash ill let you know.

I just took cage apart on the "OTA" going to detail body and so something with bed to make it look a little bit cleaner. I also ordered a set of locked up wheels for it. Still gotta order a front CMS but I got time.

Dude, I just noticed the missing radio and wires hanging out:lmao: I'm sure almost all of us had/or knew a guy with that same set up. Crazy detail. Can't wait to see the updates on the OTA.

Killer rig - cant wait to see what you do with it....
If that a 1:1 windshield wiper for the rear fender flare?

Thanks Chris, when I saw it up for sale again I couldn't let is pass me by again. I don't know if I would have gone the extreme rusted shit box look with it but its definitely cool none the less. It compliments my other blue rusted shit box toyota quite nicely haha

Once I finish this nightmare of a side job I am doing in my garage with this motor swap on a jeep ill be working on both of these rigs. I got a work bench for Xmas finally :D

It's actually real toyota fender flare trim, it's the rubber that goes on the edge if the flares that sits against the body of the truck.

All the little details are awesome! Marker Lense repair tape is my favorite "thumbsup"
