2014 Ford Tremor

Eh, not really feeling it. Trim package is ugly on top of an already ugly truck, 2wd sits about a mile too damned high, too much fancy crap on the inside, and the bed is a couple feet too short. I could probably order a reg. cab/longbed Hemi Ram Tradesman package or comparable Silverado and have a more usable vehicle that will still run like a sonofabitch for a hell of a lot less money.

yeah, seems pointless. 2wd? go buy a focus

I kinda like it.i personally think they should have taken some ideas from the lightning,They should have Gone with more of a sport truck vibe like the lightning, lower it,special exhaust and that cab is wwwaaayyy too short.a buddy of mine went in to price one and the dealer said $42,000!!!!! Its a neat truck but theres some things that could be tweeked

$42k:shock:

For $29k I could get a fairly nice 2wd Hemi Ram Tradesman longbed with the 8 speed and 3.92 limited slip rear gear. Bump it up another $4k, and I can get the turbo diesel V-6 in it instead. Then it wouldn't too nice not to use as an actual truck too!

$42k?! WTF!...pickup trucks are supposed to be used for hauling sh#% around, throwing stuff in them etc...

For $42k I'd buy me a little Toyota for $10k and bank the other $32k for whatever else the world throws at me! That's rediculious to be that high in price! That's luxury vehicle price. Just saying.

Exactly, you could find a decent truck and a nice car for the price of just that truck! If Chrysler was running any incentives on the Rams, that $42k would pay for what I would want in a truck and finish off the loan on my 200.

Customer: How much is that F150?
Salesman: $42k
Customer: What? *starts shaking uncontrollably*
Sales Manager: Dammit! Why does this thing give everyone the tremors? Someone get Corporate on the phone...

Under 40,000 is becoming a deal for a new truck.
They are all outrageously over priced.

The Motortrend truck of the year test for an example had a Ram Dually price as
tested over 70,000.00 !!

Yeah, seems like the test vehicles they give the reviewers are optioned to the hilt. A few months back I watched a video of the turbodiesel 1500 Ram and the quad cab test vehicle they were driving was $55k, I think done how I would buy it was under $35k.

Yup, $42k for a regular cab, short bed, V-6 full sized pickup, think that's how I would react too.

They've been selling like crazy at our dealership. Very nice trucks, price is a little high, but that doesn't appear to be stopping people from buying them.

That's good for you but I don't care how nice they may be/look..for $42k is just a joke!!!!!

Drop it 4", loose the "Attempt at Boss Mustang" side stripes and loose $10k off the price.

This8)

Yup, have no idea why somebody would pay that much for one, or buy one so pointlessly fancy.

I like it, then again I am a die hard Ford guy. Grandad's flex was the Ecoboost AWD, and that thing would MOVE. Pretty sure it was heavier than this truck will be too. Loaded up with 5 people and a week of luggage, it would do standstill to 60 in 6.5 seconds and hit 120 with ease.

The OPs post is nothing new. You couldve ordered a 2wd regular cab short bed eco boost F150 2yrs ago and gotten the same thing minus the 'tremors'.

As for the costs of new trucks, I guess some of you guys are being gouged. Around here you can get a brand new loaded 1-ton diesel 4x4 for beteen 48-60k. Half tons are high 20's to high 30's.

The one I saw on Powerblock tv this morning had a little different features than the one pictured. Exhaust dumped out in front of the rear tires, like the Lighting.

As far as others comments on prices of trucks in general. I paid a moderate amount for my 2013 Silverado LTZ 1500. Well worth the money in my opinion. Heated and cooled seats. Nuff said. :flipoff:
