Are you going to be using your rig as a mud truck? If your going to be doing a lot of trail running or crawling I would suggest raising your shocks up on the mounting holes. You will find out really fast with all that weight up that high you will roll your rig quite easily.

i was thinking if i widened the wheels with hub spacers and put weights in the tires it might help keep it on the ground also might put some 2.2s any suggestions

I'd say def way to tall. Center of gravity is gunna be way off and do notin but flip over and roll. Love the body and build. Lower it down though

Forgo the 2.2s, just put the 40 series size tires on it, lol. For better drive shaft angle try rotating the axles, might alleviate some extreme binding.

the driveshaft angle is fine i used same size links in the top as the bottom the top ones are just 4mm shorter than the bottom for steering purposes also i have the junfac 155mm shafts still to put on but i have zero binding at the moment.The driveshaft is at a better angle now then when it came stock

With the stock axial servo if you run 2.2's and add weights to your wheels it will not turn that well. Your going to need to upgrade your servo if you go that route.

Im surprised that your driveshaft angle is not to much, and I reccomend that you put something like 1.9 mickey thompsons or super-swampers from pro-line. Those axial tires are way to small for that rig, and your center of gravity is way to high. If you like it then keep it, its your rig. Im just saying what I would do. And a droop kit may be needed, because a long time ago I had the same shocks you have and my honcho was so top heavy it sucked!! So get a droop kit, and I put those shocks on my wraith because I don't care for them. Good luck!!

Nice build so far man"thumbsup" like everyone's saying, yes it's obviously tall, but I think you can pull it off with the I right tweaks and adjustments man. Keep going with your plan n get some 2.2's, wieght em like 7-8oz each or more if possible, and find the widest wideners known or get some AR60's n I think you'll be good. A new servo would be a must if your running stock too but it wouldn't hurt to try it out first. It'll be a kickass build when "finished" and would also prove most wrong about it being too tall"thumbsup"

Thanks dude and ya im gonna upgrade all the electronics including the servo but for now i guess i have to decide what to do about the width of the axles

Heres a quick update and new pics well i went and got the super swamper XLs witch are 4.75 in high the truck looks alot better with these tires gonna order some new parts tonight

its a proline body with dingo flares i heated them up and shaped them (use heat gun or blow dryer should work too)

scx10 2007 silverado update

heres some new pics of the chevy i made an led light kit powered by 3v battery pack,made the drive shafts stronger,made some chains, and also made a roll cage for the back let me know what you think

Thanks bro ive been workin hard on this thing still needs alot of work waiting on junfac wheel wideners and red aluminum ball ends also gonna put vanquish hubs and high steering and have to upgade servo and electronics still got time before the snow melts hope its ready for spring:mrgreen:
