I wanna be Dave
The Sierra Nevada Mountains are notorious for difficult terrain, adventurous weather, and gold. Gold is what defined California back in the day. The lure of riches and an easy life enticed brave men and women to face unknown challenges. Families travelled miles and for months on end. Only the really brave or slightly off their rocker, attempted the journey on their own. The 2014 AXIALFEST is an R/C scale adventure filled with gold, folklore, and challenges that will have drivers experiencing unknown adventure in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Come experience the RECON G6 known as Axialfest 2014.
Cisco Grove Campgrounds keeps a shiny little secret. That secret was revealed with the passing of a local resident that was the last remaining descendant of the legendary miner, Stilts McGee. Stilts grew up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains under the watchful eye of his grandfather. A stern man who came out in the initial gold boom, but his misfortune and hardship cursed the McGee Family. Stilts was what his grandfather called him, because he was thin as pole and towered over everyone in the area at 6 foot, 10 inches tall. No one knew his real name and after Stilts parents died during the wagon train ride out west with a local land owner, everyone just called him “Stilts”. Even though Stilts survived the attack, yes, attack is what the locals called it, the emotional scars only came to the surface after he took over his grandfather’ claim. The area has never been the same since. With reports of a Yeti type creature, Cisco Grove Campgrounds has a dark secret, too.
Gold is in them hills. Gold is at the bottom of them streams. Gold is in the eyes of many men. Fools Gold fills the hearts of those men. As legend has it, Stilts McGee hit the mother lode of the Sierras Nevada’s, but the only other living soul to see this vein has disappeared. Which G6’er will find Stilts legendary claim.
