Rock Crawler
Hello,
I've done a build on my ridecrest before but recently I decided to take the older build even further. I plan on buy the underground fast back two chassis (black) but before I do I need some important questions answered. Let's start, eh? My ridgecrest is using the stock axles that are upgraded but I'm going to buy V.P. alum. axle housings soon, but I got thinking....Would a set of super-bully axles be good? (M.O.A.) I'm gonna put a tekin Fxr pro with a 45t motor in it or I can switch over to moa. Here's my upgrade list so far:
- Under-Ground crawlers F.B. ll chassis (Black)
- Tekin fx-r w/ 45t H.D. motor
- Hot Racing internal "air" shocks 120mm
- V.P. Alum. transmission cover (orange)
- RR solid gear outdrive (diff) gear
- RR input steel gear
- V.P. alum. Axle x2 - (black)
- V.P. Diff covers 3d type x2 (gun metal)
- V.P. shock alum. mounts x2 (red)
- V.P. Diff locking caps (red) x2 alum.
- axial H.D. Differential gear x2
As you can see I'm putting a lot more into my ridgecrest but I'm doing this over building a super. I don't have time or money to mess around with a super build...that's why. So what do you think? Hmm...if I get a F.B. 2 chassis, how will I mount a 2s on the front axle? Do they make 2s lipos that will fit on a custom plate? I'm just tired of the old chassis and a bodiless chassis will be nice. Keep in mind that you can find my old thread about the build I did. As of right now my ridgecrest crawls okay, I have H.B. Rovers on them with weight in the front and back tires but it will need tuning over time. Thanks for your time, -axial 4x4 crawler
