New Axial "working on something fast"

I dunno man - I think it looks awesome. Obviously that will be opinion. I think people have to give Axial some credit here - there was lots of talk about wanting an Ultra4 rig, and they delivered. Sure, it will not be all things to all people - no RC is. But I think this really looks promising.

HOWEVER, I do agree with people that say we need the full story before plunking down our hard-earned $$$. Fingers crossed that this thing is good.

looks like there is clearance for traditional 2.2 beadlocks (with rings and bolts)

those headlight stickers need to go. really kills the U4 look.

width is also a meh for me :(
and looks like we were right looks like a big offset on the rear to push the wheels out to match the front width.

no shot of the rear to check for tire carrier.

so far alot more dislikes, than likes.

overall proportions are very revo like to me.

anxious to hear from exo owners to say if the front end is any different than the exo, knukles, arms etc.

Hope it's not too wide.

I'm more on-board with this 'go fast' rig because of the IFS/solid rear axle platform although I don't like to offset rear pumpkin. It looks like there's new shocks ( gold colored) up front?

I can definitely see this rig being made into a legitimate scale Throphy truck.

Aluminum bodies front and rear. I don't mind the offset pumpkin, a lot of IFS ultra-4 buggies run offset as well.

I love it. It's got a mean style that will be a perfect base for some amazing cars.

Look at this compared to a stock RTR Wraith. A stock Wraith sits way too high, and looks just a little odd, but with just a few setup tweaks they are the most fun RC I've ever owned. This car looks damn good out of the box, now go from that point and we'll be able to make it even that much better.

IT WILL BE AWESOME! I can't wait for all the aftermarket support!

I know, Jason pointed that out and he's right. I'm not up to speed on the current off-road/desert rigs that are out there. I wonder how long until one of these hits the bone yard at RPP ?

For an Ultra-4 truck I don't mind the offset either. It would have been nice to have another housing though for other projects.

Any word from anyone who has seen this in person what the bottom looks like? Is it cage or does it use some sort of tub/flat portion for the front?

damn looks even better dirty..

The first priority for the aftermarket IMO should be narrower front A-arms and axles...
To let all those wanting to do a 1.9 conversion easily match SCX10 Axle width.

Even though it would be a lot of hard work, and countless hours.....

I am more then willing to beta test this before it comes out

Negative on the bottom. It was in a glass case.

I was comparing front end pics to Exo and looks like the whole front suspension is all Exo...color of shocks is easy anodizing to change....so that means somebody should make narrower A-arms and axles as an option. "thumbsup"
