Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

It's nice to see a few people who aren't smitten express their feelings politely!
So many just seem to want to point out every possible flaw and attack the yeti before even driving one.

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

Dammit.. I just finished building my ultra rig.. I guess it's time to sell it already. I need a Yeti:twisted:

Man really makes me think about reposting my dmg chassis, this thing looks awesome

Building your own Custom Rig is Better then buying one out of the Box
My two cents "thumbsup"

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

I'm sure VP has already got those weak parts in the hopper, seems to be the way these things work.

And then this will be a $1000 car. It's not directly comparable to the Yeti, but look at what you can get from others for around $500-600. Fast, durable cars with generally high specs.

Many of you might see me as a flamer now, since none of us besides "the chosen one" has driven it yet. But from the pictures I'm not overly convinced this is a bargain. But as mentioned, we'll see when you guys start beating on them how durable they really are.

I see what you mean. Alot of plastic to change out but then again kinda what is expected from axial. It's not a race kit.

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

Pre ordered mine lastnight!

Great job on the review..."thumbsup"

Cant wait to see what bodies will fit..
and whats gonna be made for it by all the vendors/manufacturers.

Nice job Axial!

Now do a 1.9 yeti...

Without commenting on the Yeti itself I am excited because of what this says about Axial Racing as a company.
They listen to their customers and earnestly want to bring them what they want.
They know they cannot please everyone everytime but they sure got a lot overwhelmingly right with the Yeti!
Yes I say this before even handling one. (I was lucky enough to peek at it in person @ Cisco Grove last weekend though. )
After meeting many of the nice people from axial... Raymond, Scott, Brandon and Christine, I am confident Axial's interests are in the right place. It is hard to feel that way about most companies for me.

Thanks Axial. Keep the good stuff coming.

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

I know a lot of people are hating on all the plastic, but it's not all bad. My EXO RTR took a serious beating, I replaced a few parts here and there but nothing really broke that I couldn't say was my fault. The MTB and bmx jumps take their toll after awhile, there were many jumps that I lined up that I knew could end the day. Surprisingly I never broke the plastic toe blocks, I did manage to bend the pins from time to time though.
Anyway, the point is the plastic can take a beating and most people shouldn't "have to" upgrade it all before the first run.

I'm not gonna get it right away, but instead see what everyone else thinks of it and what upgrades they put on. Or wait for a kit. Just gonna have to wait and see!

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

Thanks for all the info and GREAT pictures. Time to start saving up for one .

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

Or maybe it's just that we don't all drink the Axial Kool-Aid and automatically think they can't do any wrong? It's an awesome rig, but it's not perfect. I'm not sure why you would get pissed about people voicing their opinions and mentioning valid points.

Give me one example of an RTR that is "perfect" out of the box.

I'll wait.
