Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

I believe Harley or someone estimated they had the wider plastic spacers for the axial beadlocks in back. In a couple of the pics you can kinda tell.

Looks like it has the brushless system out of the Exo Terra RTR. Sensorless 2900kv and a Castle sidewinder rebadged as axial

Great for bashing and I know most guys will upgrade right away to SLW hubs and a sensored brushless system. Along with changing to a 3 ch radio so you can shift the gears on the trans.

Going to stick with my wrexo for now and see when the spare parts come out to pick up a cage and steering system.

Dna

Damn! I was hoping for shorter A-arms so the slash mip's would be a direct bolt up. Mip are dropping the ball when it comes to the exo setup

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

Give me one example of an RTR that is "perfect" out of the box.

I'll wait.

Well said sir, well said! Not just a rtr that is perfect but any rc, no matter what you put into it there is allways room for improvement

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

Are there going to be any different color schemes? I know they were talked about earlier, but I don't see anything now.

Im hoping than in the future they will team up (like they did with the poison spyder wraith) and do a shannon campbell replica body... now that would be one slick looking ifs u4 rig!!!
hint hint axial haha

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

I cannot wait to receive my pre ordered Yeti.

I have been in the Hobby since 1992 starting out on RCMT.NET and have ran everything from turbine helos and planes to 1/5 gassers and at least 11 Clods, 2 TXT'S and more Traxxas trucks than I can count.

Out of all of them Axial is my favorite company. And in my opinion has done more for the RC off road world than any other company in the last 10 years.

Thank you to Axial for fueling our imagination and satiating our hunger for scale offroad rc vehicles.

Electrofied...

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

Sooooooo, since Axial did a pretty good job on bringing the consumer what they have been asking for..........the next best thing to do is complain about the name? Will the next thing to complain about after that be the box it is presented in  I vote to name it the "Axial Whine" and instead of taking it out to bash with it....we will now call it a bitch session

Off my soapbox I go again

Cheers,
Wade

I didn't like the ending so I changed it so it took a little longer to post. As soon as Vimeo is done crunching it I will post it.

Re: Exclusive review of the Axial YETI AX90026

And here's the video. I hope it does the Yeti justice with how much fun it is to drive.

Very cool. The video is killer!!!
I can't wait to tweak one these with a bit more travel, or maybe raise the ride height just a smidge.
