I was going to keep this a secret but I am too excited not to get people interested.
I keep hearing crawler guys asking for a kong sized tire with a more aggressive tread pattern, like the Swamp Dog.
After much testing with my narrowed Kongs, I have found that they hold up to ANYTHING and they are the best tire I could have hoped for. The gluing part was what concerned me as far as durability.
Well, now that I know it works well, here is my new project that I've started.
It's simple: I am removing the sidewalls from the Kongs. Cutting the tire into three pieces, basically. There is two sidewalls left and the tread section from the top, which I will just discard. I then am cutting the top tread section and side lugs(all in one long circular strip) off of a Swamp Dog tire and mating it with the two Kong Side walls. That's all there is to it. I will soon have 8 inch tall Swamp Dogs, Digler style!!!!!!!
