I just read an article about it in RC Car Action and they brag it up a little bit, but by looking at the pictures, it's junk. The steering setup alone is reason enough not to buy it in my opinion. Not to mention the chain drive they must of had left over from the 80's. Honestly I think Kyosho belongs on the shelves at Wally world. Kyosho and the word performance only go together when the word poor is used.
If stock steering on something as simple as these is enough to push you away, then you are on the wrong forum.
Kyosho is a boutique brand, IMO, that has a great following. The axles are probably as strong as anything out of the box, and the chain drive is simple and effective.
I would not call it a crawler, but it looks like it is fun. MY issue would be parts when it breaks as Kyosho is not carried everywhere like a company like Losi or Traxxas.
Sometimes a picture says it all. Five rods, ten ball ends and three bellcranks! 2 link suspension on top of that. I understand all about modifying something. Everything can be better, no matter how good it is out of the box, but when you see such poor engineering on something in this price range it's a big red flag. This thing is not even close to being worth 520 bucks!
First and foremost it needs to have some kind of potential to make the mods worth the time and money.
Chain drive is simple and effective. So is using a brick to open the window.![]()
it is better to wait for first hand knowledge if you want an honest review..
I would be not accept any OPINION that based the review on looking at a picture then flips you off at the end of their biased review as if their word is law ....
the review you need should have honest unbiased information and less trolling.....
if you tried to drive a picture of a FO XX up a hill you would be angry too.
