Facepalm facebook fail finds

in that case, I'll poke a little fun at rc4wd. This came up in my R1 thread last night. Showing here their portal axle kit for ax10 to increase axle clearance but they didnt bother to try and do something about that low hanging tie rod.

^hehe. that is a fail.

people with a sense of humor and a slight bit of elitism will enjoy this thread. just try to keep it fails worthy of being elitist over.

btw, worn through pumkins are badass imo. ;)

Holy shit.

I get the idea of "Wow, look at this pic, this guy is doing something wrong which is basically *this* [insert explanation]". (For me, the explanation is the important part because that's where people can actually *learn* stuff)

What I don't get is the mentality of picking fights, being mean to people, calling people names and whatever.

*That* mentality reminds me of highschool.

I mean, come on - we all have lives to live - we get up in the morning, go to a job we may or may not like just to bring in the money,
we visit our parents, talk to our friends...
And to relax we like to fiddle around with scale cars.
Change a gear here, add some scale detail there - it's all good, because we're hurting noone and it makes us feel good.

And then people start to *bitch* about one thing or another that you did or did not do to your rc car..?
I mean, seriously, take a step back and look at ourselves - we're talking about model cars, basically expensive toys.
Some of us seriously need to lighten the **** up.

Posting fails - fine, but please mention what's wrong and how to improve.
Laughing at people or calling them names ?
Sod off, nobody needs people in their life doing that. It's too easy and without class.

Not that I condone harsh behavior against the ignorant(uneducated) that just got their new rig and have the "upgrade/modify" bug(think we all try to help before hurt). You can laugh at me and call me names though, I can take it(quietly sheds tear looking away from keyboard).

Some get a good prodding due to their attitude when someone with experience(that has likely made mistakes similar in the past or tried weird things) tries to help them and gets nothing but "it crawls over everything, it is better than other set ups" in return. I try to help them on FB the same that I do here, we have a search function here that helps a lot, FB doesn't.
