Hi all,

Searched the forums but cannot find a post that recommends greases or lubricants so thought I would start a new post for others to refer to with everything collected together.

Can people post their recommendations for;

Front Diff oil; Axial 20000cst default
Main Transmission grease;
Rear diff grease;
Pinion/Spur - to lube or not to lube? (metal to metal)

Thanks!"thumbsup"

Just to add, looking for some recommendations as I touch a few areas to hop up my kit, running low on the gear supplied with the kit originally.

Front Diff oil: Anything Silicone Diff oil. Racing/bashing you want 20K to 50K thickness. More locked you can use thicker or even Ofna Diff Lock which is super thick and nearly locks the diff action.

Main Transmission grease: I use Associated Black grease, any good grease is fine.

Rear diff grease: Is this for the Ring and Pinion, if so I use the same I use in the transmission.

Pinion/Spur - to lube or not to lube? (metal to metal): No lube needed. Proper mesh is all you need here.

I thought I seen on here one time that somebody said black or lithium in the front diff? Idk maybe not I am pretty fresh to all of this.

I believe you use different weights of oil in the front diff to improve or lesson the diff action to what you need. If you simply greased it means the diff action is pretty loose.

I use white lithium grease on the ring and pinion, transmission and transfer case, but not inside the diff. itself.

I've used Team Associated silicone diff. fluid in the past, but for the kit I just used the supplied bottle from Axial.

For me:
Team Losi Racing 50000wt diff fluid for front diff.
Mobil 1 Synthetic grease for all transmission, transfer case and diff gears.
Tri Flo Superior lube for all bearings
Tri Flo Superior Dry lube for universals, dog bone cups and MIP shaft.
Pinion/Spur I use a small paint brush to put a slight film of Tri Flo Superior Dry lube on them.

I use,

Losi &/or Associated fluids for shocks and diffs.
Eureka Pro Lube in trans & diff gears.
Rock and Roll Lubrication's "Absolute Dry" which is bicycle chain lube, on dog bone & cvd.
and no lube on the pinion/spur.

In the tranny and on the ring and pinion white lithium grease is the way to go IF and only if you do not run in water. If your yeti likes to get wet marine grease is what you need.
