Axial rr10

They could have turned the yeti transmission around. If you type RR10 in Tower's search function, the auto fill shows a transfer case specifically for the RR10. That transfer case, with the yeti tranny turned around, could conceivably put the outputs where they are.

Well now that it's official, axial released the info on their Facebook page this morning as it wasn't a leak, it was meant to be done that way. They know everyone and their brother is inline, and they knew it would end up here anyways.

I've held one at the bomber fab shop. Signed a non disclosure agreement for it a month ago.

It will be brushless, non sensored vanguard system which doesn't really crawl for dick as we all know. The truck itself is bad ass. Randy and axial went way in depth on this one.

Where? Their facebook account clearly says 'brushless ready'. Look/listen to Harleys 2nd rr10 blog on YouTube. He suspects the yeti drive train doesn't fit the layout of the car and the Wraiths won't handle 550 brushless power on plastic gears. And upgrading them RTR is a bit far stretched for $400 rig.
That leads me to believe it'll com brushed.
(I surely hope to be proven wrong!)

Seems to be very few people who have held this thing in their hands. That guy has, and he said it's the vanguard system. I have not held it, so I wouldn't know.

That being said, Axial has always listed the vanguard esc and motor under "option parts" for all the trucks. Maybe the one they were toting around to the sponsors was fully optioned out, like the yeti's with every gold ano part months before they were available.

Keep looking, you're close. Wraith trans for sure.

Ordered a Wraith spawn yesterday :/
But this rig looks awsome, think i rather wait for this one!
Have they given any release date on it?

and another...

Kinda disappointed that the known noodley trailing arms are present.

Wheels are junk, servo is junk, steering parts are junk, diff gears are junk... Gotta support the aftermarket somehow!

PS, I need some of your wheels some day soon "thumbsup"

There is a difference between parts that would increase retail price, and parts that just suck and should have been redesigned. Like the original Yeti hubs, the weak ass trailing arms fall into the same category.

Remember I'm just some guy looking at a few pictures on the interwebs and spouting some BS for fun. I'm reading the same things you guys are for the most part. I said brushless because some guy here said he had one in hand with it. But Axial's post saying BRUSHLESS READY pretty much means it's going to be brushed and I overlooked that.

I just like hearing myself talk on YouTube, plus the money isn't bad either :flipoff: Video number 3 coming soon! AHAHAHAH

The more I see of this rig the more I like it. Also can't wait to see what parts SSD comes up with for this, top notch parts.

Cheers,
Wade

Junk parts good parts it does not matter! I just need the dam thing in stores by the end of month! It's going to be under the tree for me oh I mean for my son. If it's not out by Christmas than they are going to miss out on the end of the year over spending rush everyone goes threw! I want to drive it! But I also want to drive my scx10s and the WRAITH I have, I love all tiny trucks!!!! Come on axial pretty please with sugar on top!

The Wraith was supposed to be a rock racer. Then the Yeti was supposed to be the rock racer to conquer all. Now there's this. Which way does Axial really want to go with a rock racer? I think they're confused. It appears to be a parts bin special with a new chassis. Axial is getting pretty lazy. Yes, everybody at all scales hits the parts bin as much as possible, but I wish Axial would stock beating the rock racing to death. Give us the SCX10 2.0 that a lot of us want or some other scale crawler.

This is what the EXO and Yeti should have been. I love the way it looks. I have one concern. I know a solid axle up front is scale, but I'm curious how this this is going to handle.

It also appears to be typical Axial fare - cheap, flimsy plastic in areas where it has no business being. Plastic is fine as long as you have different composites for different areas. Plastic, especially soft, flimsy plastic is not one-size-fits all.

This just keeps getting better and better. Every new pic gets me more excited. I really love the lines of this thing and the paint scheme is fantastic. The front end kinda reminds me of the Mattzilla Mantis. All we need is a release date and I can start counting down.

I totally agree. You shouldn't bother getting one. Please don't try to get one. It's aweful already. Axial will lose money on this one big time. This is definitely a total Wraith clone ripoff. Please anyone reading, nothing to see here. Just go home and ignore this steaming pile of crap Axial is trying to cram down our throats.

Yes, I know. But you have handled more rigs than most of us. And therefor, to me at least, your educated guesses bring more weight to the ballance then mine.
I stil do my homework. So youre still being challanced.[emoji6]

Your post before this one shows you drink the Axial Kool Aid and you'd probably praise and buy anything and everything they release. Some of us are more realistic.

Ever seen fullsize "rock racers"? There is more than one build style. I don't think they are confused. And yes, it's a solid axle car so it isn't going to perform like a B5M. If you want IFS handling, get a Yeti, that's the nice thing about options.

The whole parts bin car comment is the dumbest thing I've read on the internet this week, and I spend quite a bit of time on Facebook. Do you really think they should completely redesign every part for every car? Will we see a new SCX someday? I'm sure we will. You think that they just stop work on it while working on these other cars? You think they just have one guy over there taking care of everything? The timing of this car probably isn't pushing back a new SCX any further. We can see updated parts on this car, so even these "parts bin parts" look like they have gotten some attention.
