Axial rr10

Just out of curiosity…

What is the advantage of having “trailing arm” suspension?
I’m not trying to start an argument…I am literally just ignorant on the subject.

Secondly, why would anyone want to do a 6x6 rig? Is it for looks, or just to do something different? Once again, not trying to sound like a jerk, or start an argument…I literally just don’t understand the reasoning behind doing it! Always looking to learn new things, And I have recently been considering putting a DmG stiffy kit w/ rear trailing arms on my wraith, solely because I think it looks super bad ass!

But now that this rr10 has been released, I will probably hold off and see what people do with converting/customizing their Wraiths with these parts!

What's the eye to eye on those shocks? I see this shaft and body lengths, but no eye to eye.

Wife just picked up an Apple Watch, sounds like a good reason for me to get the rr10 ordered :flipoff:

Axial isn't really anticipating people making 6x6 RR10s, the pass through cover is for using the AR60 axles in totally custom 6x6 projects.
Trailing arm gives you more travel with the same length shock absorbers.
It also makes the springs act softer than an equal spring mounted on the axle. Probably why it looks so torque twisty in the video.

This rig is awesome and I will definitely be purchasing the kit version.

One thing though, why didn't they stick with the Walker Evans bead locks from the Yeti instead of going with a glue on version for the RTR?

Yeah its going to need stiffer springs and thicker oil for having trailing arms out back. Not a deal breaker "thumbsup" I just sold my SCX-10 for RR10 funds :ror:
