Did some brainstorming tonight. Used some cardboard as templates just to see how things would look.

I plan on making the skid drop out completely with all electronics and drivetrain on it for ease of repairs/ maintenence

This is a really cool idea. Can't wait to see how this one progresses. The Mystery Machine body is killer.
 
I'm guna have to redo the body. It was the first one I ever did and used model paint so the first time I wrecked it cracked off the one side.

I have a vaterra chasis I'm thinking about using for the base but I haven't decided yet

I know.. is rough yet, but this is the 1st out of many mock ups that I've actually wanted to post. I need to get the skid trimmed up and the rear upper arms mounted then I can really start rolling. I'm going to have to modify the cage quite a bit but whatever
