Ottsix Voodoo KLR

What do you do when you spend a bunch of dollas on a new set of newly released tires? Hack 'em! I narrowed mine... Anyone else done this? Schwing!

I'm really liking the narrow version. I can't wait to run them at my standard testing grounds and see if there is any change in performance.

Question, when you email Voodoo how quick do they answer. I have been trying to get ahold of them for multiple weeks but have not recieved a response? It is about a tire order from their site.

The "all caps" versions were a manufacturing error (typo) during the initial run of 1.9 KLRs last summer. The non all caps are just that error corrected. Otherwise no difference.

Hi.. I run both Gold and silver on different rigs. It really varies based on temp, type of terrain and personal preference.. Gold is always a safe bet and usually my "go to". They will wear faster than the silver.

I would suggest Gold. I have Silver and they're way too stiff for my liking on a light truck like yours.

Thanks a lot! I was expecting gold as the way to go...

I run gold and silver on my 5 lb (2.2 kg) Bomber. Both were too stiff for that rig, even with soft, comp cut CI foams. I had to groove and sipe to get them pliable enough, here's the outcome: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/tires-wheels/567323-how-increase-forward-bite-klrs.html#post5540021

The golds have worn pretty fast but I run on very abrasive lava rock most of the time.
