Your "truck"doesn't count as a truck John...to much plastic and polymer to be a truck:flipoff:

"Especially ones with a body lift"

70-80 trucks have a gap due to the rubber body mounts, not readily visible in pic and not as pronounced as a lot of the r/c versions.

Just a comment stating the do exist in 1:1 rigs. If we need to cover all the way to the frame per SORRCA rules that's fine."thumbsup" Thanks for the clarification.8)

I have a quick question on installing a drop bed. Can my shock hoops extend through the bed or do I have to use a cantilever setup. If they can't extend through would it make a difference if I were to mold a box to cover them up so they aren't visible? Or possibly even add a tonneau cover over the bed to cover them up. I assume a drop bed is still a drop bed even with a cover on it. Thanks in advance.

Yes, shock hoops can extend through a drop bed. If it has a tonneau cover, then it must be removable so the person doing tech can see the drop bed.

Awesome. I am thinking spring loaded cover that is hinged behind the cab. Pull the pin and and it opens at the back. Thanks War Pig.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched this thread and couldn't find any info on it.

Functional doors, is it -1 for each door or -1 for a pair?

opening doors and hood, spare tire mount, etc. -1 each

Thanks

-1 for the pair of doors, really you'd only need one that opens to get the points. You wouldn't get -1 for each one, just like tow straps, shackle, spare tire etc. You don't get points for multiples of each item.

So 4 functioning doors gets the same amount of scale points as 1 functioning door since you can't get multiples of each item?

Correct, otherwise people would hang 6 shackles on their bumper and call it good.

Recovery Vehicle :flipoff:

Makes sense, just sucks that from a points perspective there isn't much incentive to do functional doors.

BUT........

I'll buy you a beer in Arizona if you do four opening doors without expecting scale points for all of them "thumbsup"

Quoting for future use

if i change all visible hardware including nuts bolts and screws in the rims axles and chassis to "scale hardware " would that earn any extra scale points? I started with the rings on my rims and the acorn nuts should be here this week

Me and crawlspace were debating about his class 1 Amigo and would like an official answer. The body crawlspace is running has a fake spare tire and we are wondering if that gets a -1 as a non functional item. This also means he cant run a functional spare? I would allow it on a club level because both add up to and anchor and 2X dead weight but i would appreciate an official call on this. He belives the the old sorrca rules would give him -1 for a non functional item. Any help would be epic! thanks so much
