I have a quick question on installing a drop bed. Can my shock hoops extend through the bed or do I have to use a cantilever setup. If they can't extend through would it make a difference if I were to mold a box to cover them up so they aren't visible? Or possibly even add a tonneau cover over the bed to cover them up. I assume a drop bed is still a drop bed even with a cover on it. Thanks in advance.
Yes, shock hoops can extend through a drop bed. If it has a tonneau cover, then it must be removable so the person doing tech can see the drop bed.
Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched this thread and couldn't find any info on it.
Functional doors, is it -1 for each door or -1 for a pair?
opening doors and hood, spare tire mount, etc. -1 each
Thanks
-1 for the pair of doors, really you'd only need one that opens to get the points. You wouldn't get -1 for each one, just like tow straps, shackle, spare tire etc. You don't get points for multiples of each item.
So 4 functioning doors gets the same amount of scale points as 1 functioning door since you can't get multiples of each item?
Correct, otherwise people would hang 6 shackles on their bumper and call it good.
BUT........
I'll buy you a beer in Arizona if you do four opening doors without expecting scale points for all of them "thumbsup"

Makes sense, just sucks that from a points perspective there isn't much incentive to do functional doors
