Green Axial monster truck wheels on Tower

They have been on tower for a while, yes Monster Energy is suspected to be the next release after Xmas. I heard there will be a total of 4 different versions released.

If Monster Energy is the third, my money's on Son Ova Digger for the 4th, that is unless Axial wants to save money and chooses another truck that has a black chassis.

I can't wait for the Monster Jam releases to wrap up. I'm anxious to see what Axial releases in regards to a kit.

I'm so over the Monster Energy theme. I have no desire to see it ever again on anything.

I also would like a Son Uva Digger.

I messaged axial yesterday in regards to a kit and they said "currently no plan for a smt10 kit."
I honestly don't foresee an SMT10 kit because they admittedly targeted it for the RTR crowd. With that being said, that is the standard answer for any product until it's officially announced. Even if an SMT10 kit is going to be released they will say no until it's official.

This bothers me a bit. The internet has made it clear (maybe it's just where I visit) that people who buy these aren't leaving them stock. Not even close. I've put more into mine than I paid initially, by far. I understand I can buy all the parts I want separately, but that can become very expensive. I'd love Axial to release some form of a kit, even if incomplete. Give me a dyeable chassis, metal links, and a metal driveline. Don't bother with wheels, servos, or body.

Most people who buy them and leave them stock aren't going to be on RC forums. They're not hardcore hobbyists like we are. It's mostly parents buying these for kids or random Monster Jam fans buying them as their only RC. People on the forums who have them are going to mod them because that's the level of the hobby they've reached. That's not the core buyer for the SMT10. So yeah, when you see them on forums they're always getting modded but I'd guess the vast majority of them are left stock and run infrequently.

We all wish they'd release a kit. We aren't the majority though. The RTR crowd is much bigger. That's Axial's target market as stated somewhere on this site.

With that being said it's impossible to keep them stock unless you're happy running it stock and on 2S. In that case it's as slow as a snail. But even then you'll probably have to tear it apart. Axial didn't Loc-Tite the 3 small screws in the transmission and they fall out for a lot of people.

As soon as you put in a 3S battery, say goodbye to your idler gear. Another teardown unless you upgrade the gears the first time you had the transmission open. Even on 3S it's too slow for most.

Plus you'll want to change the ESC since it's drag brake only. WTF?

Most Axial RTRs suck ass out of the box, but the SMT10 takes the cake. In stock form it's a slow, weak POS that's overpriced by about $100.
