mrc pro vs. ecx temper

Dravtech stuff is really top notch by the way!

think i saw one thread or a mention of his chassis..........but there's no friggin pictures on his website for the mini stuff.......and the links under his gallery page don't work.

any suggestions between the three.......karnage, bwd, or dravtech?

I did the BWD build a while ago. Just ordered everything to do one again lol. I loved the truck.

that looks pretty awesome!

which bwd is that, the mini wedge pro with cab?

since you had both the bwd and karnage chassis and you're going with bwd again......why/what is better with the bwd chassis?

I had the Karnage Jr chassis also, cant seem to find a pic of the Mini but it was awesome also lol.

Dravtech is making some great mini stuff too. Search for him here on RCC, there isn't many pics on his website. Or check facebook.

Not my Pic, taken from Dravtech's Facebook site.

that's one cool looking rig. and those weights in the wheels!

If I would have had the money, I would have went with Dravtech for this build. But I started with the BWD again. Someday I will have one of each lol.

same here........wish i had the money for multiple builds!

as it is......i'm already seeing the dollar signs going out the door with everything i want for just one build......

I wanna say between the bwd chassis setup, wheels, tires, electronics, and other misc accessories I spent close to $500. I know that's a lot but as they say...buy once, cry once lol.

that doesn't include the base mrc crawler to start with or batteries, right?

is that from start to finish?

That does not include the base Losi Mini. But I did some trading to get my Mini, so I am good there.

But yes it does include batteries too. I run cheap batteries, so those were like $20 lol.

ANd my pictures above are of the Mini Wedge LP2.0 chassis and cab.

20 bux! which ones and where can i get some? :-)

I was getting them from HobbyKing. But they are currently out in the US warehouses. I did find some on Ebay. Paid a little bit more than usual, but I had to get them.

which batteries do you use.........like 2s? 400mah?

what about motor / esc combo?

Im running a holmes Hobbies Torque Master BR Mini esc and a Torquemaster Mini Motor. The motors aren't available anymore though.

The packs I run are Turnigy 260mah 2s lipos. At the time, they were the first ones I found that would fit in the BWD Chassis easily.

There are some others that should fit,but I need to order a couple to test.

wow, those must be tiny! what sort of run times do you get from a 260mah?

any suggestions on motor/esc combo?

what about servo?

For runtime I get between 8-10 minutes depending on how I drive. Which works for me as my local comp club runs 8 minute courses.

As far as motor/esc suggestions I am not much help there sadly. Its really up to what you want to put in it, and what you can find. There are plenty of esc options out there, Holmes Hobbies, Tekin, Castle, that will work. However motors are a little limited.

Team Brood makes 1 mini motor. And I am sure there are more out there, I just dont know of them.

For servo, I am running a cheap Tactic one for now. Its really up to you what you want to run.

The problem with that combo is, it's not a sensored brushless setup. For crawlers you really need the sensored motor for the low speeds. Otherwise you will run into a stutter like condition when trying to crawl.

Sadly. I have only found 1 place overseas that makes a sensored brushless setup anymore. Novak used to make a nice setup but those are slim to none anymore on finding one.
