My 2 new 1512 motors came today.

What's the first thing we all do when something shiny and new comes? Take it apart of course

The sensor assembly is interesting...

I don't think the back was suppose to come off, it has epoxy on it, but didn't put up much of a fight. If so, castle needs to use better glue.

Timing is fixed because 4 pole motors do not respond well to timing advance. The magnet design with our shield makes it work better, but in our tests messing with the timing only makes the motor less efficient. Leave it in SmartSense mode and you will get the best of both worlds.

We noticed that price yesterday and joked about buying a bunch of them and then selling them back to them. That is less than half of what we sell it to them for, so I'm not sure why they have those priced so low. I wouldn't expect them to honor that price, it is a huge glitch or typo.

This isn't the first time I've seen crazy low prices on amazon. I remember a couple years back amazon was selling sets of those Amp Research power running boards for trucks. They were letting them go for just under $300 and those are $1200 powered running boards. People put hundreds of items on "watch" and wait for the price to plummet for a day or two then buy them up. I'd be shocked if they didn't honor this, they shipped the ones they had in stock for this price.
