Shill is the word.

Ok EeePee, I'm old and dense, so you need to explain to me? I'm not enticing anyone. "thumbsup"
Ernie

Not you, but WT.

He is being a shill for DLUX. Or so it seems. I felt like saying it.

"A shill, also called a plant or a stooge, is a person who publicly helps or gives credibility to a person or organization without disclosing that they have a close relationship with the person or organization."

Peepee english not so good so he gets words mixed up. Apparently Erik not pimping his parts here but me deciding to post the new stuff is a bad thing in his view. I guess it's a good thing his opinion isn't worth the 1's & 0's it's typed in eh?

My English is fine and precisely what you're doing. Quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck.

I'm bored so here is the definition.

noun
1.
an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others.

So dlux is a hawker, swindler or a gambler? Sure, I've posted the new parts he's come out with on here lately but I fail to see how that is a bad thing. If they don't get posted here then a lot of people wouldn't know about them.

Rcc is in many people's opinion in its death spiral and your attitude isn't helping. Heck Troy Winner just joined facebook to stay up to date with the rc community and I did the same last year. Nothing happens around here lately but I figured I'd do a few people a solid and spread the word of new parts.

I wonder how long it'll be until locked up stops posting their new parts here? I'm betting on it happening until their star expires and them not renewing like the majority of other vendors.

So am I in the wrong to post Dluxfab parts in the appropriate sections here on RCC? Should I have a star to do so? Is peepee helping the forum grow and thrive or hurting it? I'm certainly no angel and I've probably ran a few people off the site over the years but I'm not a moderator nor a representative of the forum.

I've backed off of my dickhead ways as of late around here and decided to try and help with tech. I've been absent from chit chat discussions as well as part of my silly little plan to not cause drama. I as well as many others have been discussing this board on the bookface and trying to figure out how to help bring it back to its glory days and here I find EeePee doing the polar opposit. We already have an uphill battle, we don't need a moderator pushing against us.

I see nothing wrong with posting parts that recently have been released to give everybody a heads up they are out there. I have done it myself in several threads (RPM A-rms come to mind for the Baja Rey).

I come to this site to see what's new in the RC crawling world and to get ideas for my trucks. I try to pay it back by posting what I find if it happens to be not already posted (not very often, you guys are pretty on top of things). If I'm going to be called a "shill" or "fanboi" because of that, well that's a shame because is discourages one of the great benefits of a forum.

But here in Denmark we have a saying "only stupid people get bored"

So i prefer to say i feel uninspired at the moment, or lazy,,, anything but bored.

I pulled up on the street with my semi at 4am and I'm still laying in bed 7 hours later. Maybe I'm just unable to sleep?

I never said what you were doing was wrong. I simply called you a shill. You've strangely been posting about DLUX parts recently, but no one else. It's odd...

Because very few people still involved in comp crawling bother to come around here anymore. Go look through the vendors section and see how many comp parts vendors still have stars. This place was founded on comp and it's almost gone. Even the scale stuff has slowed down.

Why do I post dlux parts? Because I'm involved with designing and testing some of them. There are some other parts coming and no, not all from dlux that I'll be posting when they're released. You can look forward too seeing me shill for them too. :flipoff:

So your chillin in a semi sleeper cab right now?! Cool!! I’ve always wondered what it’d be like to be a trucker on the road traveling around America and getting to chill in the sleeper cab with the refrigerator an T.V amenities.. doesn’t sound boring to me. Is it a Western Star?

I never drove OTR, but I did my share of time doing local stuff. The only "exciting" part is getting confirmation that they pretty much give class D licenses away like candy.

I am about do order a digital driving license, or rather a digital ID card for my license to drive the big rigs.
CUZ in a couple of months when my friend move he will rent a truck for me to drive for him, and rental trucks have the modern loggers and not the old paper ones.

But its okay my friend will pay the 92 USD it cost to get that ID

Blew me away how cheap it is to rent a truck,,,, not the super sized one but still large enough to carry 13 tonnes, but the rental prize for a weekend was less than half of what i expected.
Not the biggest of things, but it will beat going back and forth 10 times with a van sized car.

I’m glad we can finally agree on something WT, Eepee’s involvement is a net negative on this forum, it was great when he was gone for a while....

And there's my stalker at it again...

Was only a matter of time.

Stalker or not he is right. I don't know, nor do I care about whatever personal crap you have had going on in the last few years but this place is better when you're too busy to be around.

I'm sure there have been times when the exact same thing could have been said for me as well but I realized this and have been remedying it. It is good advice to sit back and evaluate things once in a while. Self reflection is good for the soul.

we are all roosters here. shill and get over it. im out of lacquer thinner. and losi axles are awesome WT. keep whinning about DD15's a little more.. you would fit right in at the plant. the DD15 isnt the engine you should be whinning about though... *cough* but i love my job.

I post all about companies new releases, and “endorse their products. Does it mean I am planted by them? No I just like their products. So WHITE-TRASH posts about Dlux if it is a company he likes let him post.

I still run my crawlers more than most. I keep all my rcs up and running and complete. And I lurk weekly only because I am waiting on the release of a good crawler that fits my style.

1. There are no fresh crawlers with broad builders appeal. Nothing that is worthy of a build thread.

2. This website forum style does a total disservice to independent small vendors. Basically ensures that success for the vendor is flash in pan.

3.Rccrawler runs on build threads. Vendors and their products are directly responsible for these build threads...yet this is the worst place to be a vendor. Total Dumpster fire.

That's about it. The volume of vendors not renewing their stars the last couple of years outnumbers those that are still active by a large amount.

Ive had the exact same conversation with a few and they tell me the same thing. They post something here and get 10 likes and a few traceable sales for the $100 a year privilege. On bookface they post the same thing and get a hundred likes and 20 traceable sales for free. Makes for a pretty simple decision.
