Vendor Pimping?
Pretty much all three the same? I guess it’s determined by extent of what ultimately transpires during posts.
If a member here posts about an existing vendor or outside vendor etc... promoting and or showcasing their items or services etc..., that’s a fairly common and passable occurrence do to the fact , yes... we’re a hobby to which multiple entities exist for us to pull out building sources and services from.
Sometimes a member can get a bit too excited and begin to turn into an advertising machine and although good intentions it can begin to cross the “Vendor Pimping” line if the member is hung on a single vendors items or service and starts (no better terms) being a shill or nutswinger for said vendor by most posts concentrating on that one entity. Which in turn is crossing into the realm of “Vendor Pimping”, which is against forum rules.
Now add in situations like this.....
If the forum can look forward to that, I’m guessing it’s time for a vendor star for yourself if you choose to continue to “Vendor Pimp” and purposefully shill an entitity here on the forum.
If you are allowed to post in this manner without an active vendor star, why would anyone need a vendor star? It simply wouldn’t be fair to existing vendors that pay good money to be vendors to allow it to happen.
It’s one thing to have the habit of posting the newest coolest item or service when seen, but to admittedly be involved in designing and testing etc... for a company/person and then come here consistently posting and promoting for them..... no uncertain term it’s Vendor Pimping and will require a vendor star to continue.

5 years ago vendor stars made perfect sense. This was the place to get information for all things rc crawling. These days what does a vendor star here get you besides $100 poorer? Nothing, not a damned thing at all. :lol: Which is why vendor star sales are down. If it wasn't for people screwing up their paypal and having rcc set to auto renew fhere wouldn't be half the green stars either.

And hardcore shafty etc. No reason to spread the word about cutting edge products if a $100 star is required to spread the word to the 3 people that might buy the parts from here. Sooo much killer stuff hitting the market but there is zero gain for me to spread the word here when it would cost me $100 to do so and I don't make any money off of doing it in the first place.
