bilinvic's '46 Power Wagon Pimpin Crawlers Truggy Build

Do you have contact info for pimpin crawlers? I would much like to have a custom chassis built.
Thanks Lee

Beautiful build so far - like all of your builds.

Would you mind measuring the diameter of those 1.9 MTR tires mounted up? They're on my short list, but I'm thinking they might be a little tall.

4.70 mounted. I have the same tires in 2.2 and really like them. They have nice internal sidewall bracing too.

Thank you very much! "thumbsup"

That's a little tall. I wish we had options at 4.5".

I just mounted the 1.55 MTRs tonight. Cool tires, but the fact that they are all the same rather than mirrored drives me nuts. The right side tires look backwards to me.

As you may have noticed, I removed the Lexan front grille.....

.....and now it's replaced by a scratch-built styrene radiator and grill.

I used 1mm sheet Lexan, "L" styrene strips and zip ties. The grill was made with styrene strips. The grill is in primer because I'm not sure what colour I will be painting it yet.

Mounted up, this assembly adds exactly 100 grams right up front. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I hear ya...we are all used to directional and symmetrical tires...unlike these Goodyears. I like that part...it makes them unique.

I see you are using the new incision scx10.2 rtr dive shafts ... did you have to modify them to work with the scx10.2 kit transmission ....

Awesome progress on the build so far Bil! I really dig the radiator you built and very nice choice in wheels and tires. She's going to be a beast on the rocks thats for sure!!

Did you use the bowhouse battery tray also to reverse the trans?

No, I trimmed the stock one to fit around the spur cover. I did order a Hot Racing machined aluminum steering servo mount because the servo flexed a little more than I liked with the plastic "cradle" due to having to eliminate a couple of rear battery tray braces.

No, just used the front for rear and rear for front. It's all good!

Thanxs Ryan. I can't wait to try it out one day!

Mail day!!!! I'm very happy that the rear anti-sway bar went in with very little modification and all the clearances are good. This is the Hot Racing Torsion Sway Bar Set for the Wraith.

Sway bar looks like it was meant to go there, lol!! This beast is coming together very nice Bil. Im still digging on your radiator so much that it inspired me to build one for my personal C2 rig.

I've been wanting a Power Wagon truggy and this pushed me over the edge. I got my quote, just need to wait a couple weeks for the hobby fund to be replenished.

The build is slow going right now, but nonetheless, it's coming along. I wasn't sure which sway bar to go with and I took a chance with the H-R version and it's perfect. Since this is going to be a fairly hefty rig, controlling the chassis roll is important.

Ryan...can I patent my PW truggy design? :lmao:
