Rate the last movie you watched

I saw a bunch recently, so I'll keep it brief.

Miami Vice - Meh. Much like the original TV series, a lot of flash and style but no substance.

Guardians of the Galaxy - Fun movie.

Avengers: Age of Ultron - It was okay, but not one of Marvel's best offerings,

Captain America: Civil War - A little better than AoU, but obviously a "set up" movie.

Atomic Blonde - It took halfway through the movie to pick up, but it was decent.

I liked the original one didn't bother to read the reviews for the new Pacific Rim wow it sucked. The beginning with the girl was cool but it went downhill from there 4/10 Rotten Tomatoes just about right.

Been on a b-movie bender lately...

My Lovely Burnt Brother & His Squashed Brain ( 1988 ) 0/10
Attack Of The Killer Refrigerator ( 1990 ) 0/10
Enter The Fat Dragon ( 1978 ) 4/10
Splatter University ( 1984 ) 3/10

Mazinger Z infinty......3/10, although this animated series back in the 80´s was awesome, i went with my son who is 13 yro right now to watch it, he enjoyed it but i didn't .

Last stand with Arnold swartzanager.

The Commuter:
As much as i like Liam Neeson that was watchable but pretty terrible overall. Slow and very predictable.

Going to try Hostiles and 12 Strong this weekend

there is a mazinger Z movie in theaters?! isn't it called pacific rim???

anyway i saw super troopers 2.
just as funny as the first one! go see it for the jokes about Canada lol all i could think about was GCM and all the other Canadian folks we enjoy RC with. haha now go see it!!!

Avengers Infinity War. "thumbsup""thumbsup"

Hits the ground running and doesn't stop. If your kid is young, might see it first see if they can handle the ending. Lot of crying kids at both showings I have gone to.

thanks for the heads up. my son will be 10 in august. he finally wanted to catch up on all the other movies to go see this one. his favorite so far was civil war and really does seem to gravitate more to Cap.
he wants to see it this weekend. he said he wanted to wait a week for the crowds to die down. what is he, 9 going on 58?! love that kid...

no spoilers please!!! i will probably be the crying kid lol when i saw the last jedi, i had no words for at least an hour. think Cameron from ferris bueller's day off.
my son knew the entire silent drive home "oh wow, i think dad blew a microchip..."

Shinchu after The Last Jedi:

Oh man...this 37 year old cried a few times...most were happy tears at the amazing stuff I was seeing. Seeing the Black Order, who I’ve been a fan of thanks to a few mini series’ comic events, had me tearing up. The fight scenes were a thing of beauty. I audibly(not too loud) swore a few times, I rarely make a noise watching movies.

Also, I applaud your kid on wanting the low crowds...my plan for the second round is going to the earliest showing. Not much of a crowd person anymore...although, I have been tempted to go to one of these midnight releases. I bet the atmosphere is pretty rad, a room full of people who are just as crazy about it as you are.

Avengers: Infinity War 8.8 /10

My nephew went to the midnight showing. He didn't leave the movie theater, until 3am.

Don't forget there's a post credit scene.
There is a single credit scene, and its the very last thing shown before screen goes dark.

Avengers:Infinity war. 10/10

Best superhero movie ever. Perfectly balanced as all things should be.

Go Tha... um... Go watch it!

speaking of midnight showings, that's how my son and i saw the last jedi.
and yes, the atmosphere was AWESOME.
my old crew, the san diego star wars society was there in costumes. i hadn't gone to a meeting since 2003 and thought they had disbanded. SURPRISE! i was amazed they recognized me. (no i wasn't in costume lol but i always wanted a set of trooper armor and 501st membership...)

oh, i saw BLACK PANTHER.
it was good! not like, box office destroying good... but it was... good. i put it above doctor strange, maybe even with Spider-Man homecoming. but not like, captain America and/or avengers good.
i actually did choke up at the end credit scene at the United Nations where T'Challa was talking about coming together... THAT was awesome.
and all acting throughout was incredible. very spiritual movie. well done, marvel. well done.

Avengers - Infinity war

5/10

Ok movie.

Reading reviews I thought it might be a collosal movie.
The original iron man was the only marvel one i liked, even so what turns me off about these movies is the hyper-frenetic action which defies basic physics. Even Iron man's organs would be in his boots if he really landed that hard. They could NOT do that and still have good movies IMO.

Rhodys spine didnt do so great in civil war.
And yes, iron man did a great job keeping things beleivable.
Until a giant robot suit tore up downtown LA and no cops (or national guard) showed up?
Or the arc reactor blew up and didnt take out half the county as promised?

They had to keep it relatively beleivable for a while.
If you listened to Vision in civil war, he nails it.
The more superheroes there are, the more super villains there will be to challenge them. Now we got outter space weirdos showing up, and it all pretty much comes down to being stark and or the avengers fault.
It only started as beleivable so as not to immediately alienate viewers who arent so good at suspending disbelief. Then, build it up until 10 years later we are here, at infinity war.
Marvel has really done a friggin amazing job on this journey. I have loved every step to this point and the future looks even more promising.
Meanwhile, DC is still trying to figure out how to cgi a mustache from a guys face and how to make aquaman cool.

Marvel is killing the game!!!!
Ironically no i havent seen infinity war yet lol hopefully tomorrow when my son gets out of school.

Avengers - Infinity war 7/10
Long Movie.
Best parts are short.
I think the best parts were with Thor and the Rabbit, I mean Rocket.

Justice League. 7/10
Aquaman is still lame on land. Why is he soo Buff?
The Flash. Not the TV Flash but I did like him.
Batman. I tell ya what. The best acting Ben Affleck has done. Grumpy, Get off my Planet Old man.
Wonderwoman. Awesome.
Thought she was the GodKiller. What took her soo long?
Cyborg. Meh..
Superman. Back from the dead and at last minute saves the world.
Didn't notice much of a Mustache so I don't know what people are complaining about.
Okay, his upper lip did look a little off but only if ya were looking for it.

WonderWoman. 10/10
Loved it. The No mans land part will really Hit ya in the feels.
I could watch her all day. own WonderWomen DVD, Watched 6 times (twice in Theater)

Okay, i saw it. No not the clown movie.

INFINITY WAR.

holy smokes...

Everything i said in my last post... spot on
Marvel is absolutely positively without a shadow of a doubt...

KILLIN THE GAME!!!!!!!

for me, the best comparison wojld be to call tbis the marvel equivolent of star wars the empire strikes back. (Reminds me i need to watch kevin smiths review on youtube later)

This ends with the good guys really down for the count. I love this cliff hanger. You know its not over.

And my son didnt cry, or if he did i couldnt tell but i suspect he was holding it in, because i was.
If you have seen it, you know the scene. When he said "i dont wanna go!" Omg im misty just typing it.

I mean, in a word?

MARVELOUS.

10/10
Yeah im a fanboy but jeez... 10 years in the making this thing is a masterpiece.

And if you dont understand the end credit scene, shoot me a pm i got ya covered ;)
