Venture SBK - Scale Builder Kit

I measured the HPI FJ below the doors and come up with 7 1/4 inches wide
Axial CRC 2017 Jeep 6 7/8 inches
Axial FC 7 1/4 inches
Axial Jeep Cherokee 7 15/16 inches

Yes you can definitely see a pattern there :lmao:

Thanks. I'm looking around for something I haven't built before. Plenty of choices, so taking my time with a decision.

I'm about 90% certain I'm going to go with the Power Wagon body on mine.

I'm thinking of this...https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Killerbody-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-Lc70-Hard-Body-Set-KB48601/202410629940

or the budget version....https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AX-313B-313mm-Pickup-Car-Body-Shell-DIY-Kit-for-Axial-SCX10-RC4WD-RC-Crawler-O3/183395812975

For some reason I'm attracted to this body style. The Killerbody has a lot of options such as interior or bed with drop down sides which could be added later I guess. Still looking for other options. Plenty of time to choose.

I am really liking the "budget version" looks so much better in my opinion "thumbsup"

Well I'm not into spending time and money on getting my trucks perfectly scale looking. Instead I just want something driveable and easy to look after. Already ordered the budget one.

Great choice in me opinion "thumbsup"

Can't wait to see what you do with it

Well I already got a start now. SSD brass knuckles turned up in post today. Hopefully should have the SBK within a week. 8)

That's great they showed up already "thumbsup" I have been waiting till the SBK is released before I start getting upgrades. I have a list already to go and the longer it takes the more I save. Plus it is giving me a a chance to see what works and doesn't.
Planning on sticking with the FJ body and tire choice is going to be the biggest challenge. From what I've seen it looks like Pitbulls are top of the list at the moment. At 4.4 they should be just right plus the LSH had them in stock so it should be easy to test fit.
Hopefully the kits drop later in in the coming week

The knuckles were in the UK anyway. I went and looked at the motors I have and all are just used junk. like RC4WD cheapo stuff.. Ordered a Holmes Torquemaster Expert 540 30t from RCMart. They are usually quick to deliver and faster and cheaper than from the USA. I have a 30T handwound Tekin in my Land Rover Ascender, so this should be similar performance hopefuly.

Going to leave tire choice for now as I have a few sets anyway.

Let the waiting begin.....................
