"Like" Button

Badger is going to get it to me so I can share it here...because from what I know of now, it actually is...

Regardless, Ads contribute to keeping the lights on here...SOOOOO when someone clicks onto RCC there is an Ad in the top right, when they click on a sub section that Ad changes, and when they click on a thread that Ad changes. When you click to reply, screen refreshes again and guess was what? there is Ads... and when you submit that reply...do we see a pattern here yet???

Ya know what happens you enter a thread and only click the like button??

I hope that clears things up....

Maybe there’s a middle ground here, make it only likeable via the reply path?

I appreciate the sharing of the logic. It makes more sense from a financial perspective.

Otherwise, let the “Nice Turk!”s fly. Hope more people start posting more. "thumbsup"

You're still at the mercy of the Vbulletin and I don't believe that's an option...

Im glad you understand now, hopefully everyone else does. I hate to think its about the dollar or money aspect but much like the rest of life, not much is free these days and like anything else there is an expense with RCC being here for us

That makes a lot of sense, thanks new mod!"thumbsup"

That's a good idea, except he'll quit after going through ferp420's posts.

Sucks to read a post with no punctuation, and is nothing but one continuous sentence or paragraph. :flipoff:

If there's one thing that brings us all together, it's hating on ferp's posts.

Ferp420 is ferp420 ....he can’t help himself, his signature actually admits that

I don’t hate on his threads...just hard to read
Never questioned his sexually...or whether he bleeds or nor...who goes there

Ferp!

So, what's everyone's take on the disappearing "LIKE" button at this point? Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed a decrease in traffic here? it's a bit ironic in that the whole idea seems to be how RCC is losing traffic to more localized FB groups. FB still has the "LIKE" button. To me, when someone "LIKED" your post, it provided the opportunity for more engagement, ongoing comments and information, PM's, etc. Now, short of going back and constantly checking your prior posts, you have zero clue what and where the discussion has been. Like many here, I post all over the forum/threads. It can be a bit challenging to keep up with all the different threads you've been involved in contributing to. IDK - I just really don't see the UPSIDE of eliminating the option versus allowing people the choice to use it or not. Thoughts?

I just subscribe to the thread, whether I made it or not, then I get email notifying me of a comment. I dont really miss it at all...I am actually glad its gone...I now have to involve myself in the conversation. I just dumped facebook due to many factors, spam and drama being the 2 top reasons. I feel so much better that I no longer have that s#!t constantly on my phone and computer

Its gone. Good. Now threads need to start dissapearing. Spam threads and what not.. Popping up more and more often.

This wouldnt be an issue if a good ol iron fist was around...

Where has there been spam posts? if there is any the report post button can be utilized

I do not have a report post button. On the computer, nor the tapatalk, said button does not exist.

You dont see the red and white triangle on the bottom left with the exclamation point in it? Its right next to the online/offline indicator dot...
