You can learn a lot of helpful information from Horizon's website.

For example, the search function will autogenerate results based on items that exist in Horizon's catalog while things that do not exist in the product catalog do not produce suggested keywords.

An interesting new suggestion popped up today:

The 1.9 Wraith, SCX24, and Capra all generated suggested keywords on Horzon's site in the same manor prior to their releases. Horizon does new releases on Thursdays so might it only be 24 hours away?

Let the speculation begin! "thumbsup"

If I type in appl it suggests apples. If I type in Chee, it suggests Cheerios. Does Horizon Hobby sell groceries? No.

No but it will find things like candy apple paint or a Cheerios Nascar decal sheet, even if they are discontinued.

If you search something they definitely don't sell like Gens Ace, no suggestions will generate. You can also search a product that doesn't exist like RR10.2 or Wraith XL and they will generate nothing.

It seems to me like they have a lot of irrelevant suggestions, but that aside, the iii suggestion could simply be a result of the term being a popular search. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe we'll find out soon-ish. We'll see.

Many large product launches are getting pushed back, so it will be interesting to see how / when Axial unveils their next major product.

Seems to me like now is the perfect time to release a new kit with people being essentially trapped in their own homes for a while.

Conspiracy theory? I'm not getting this at all.

EDIT: I don't get it in Chrome, but I get it in Internet Exploder. :ror:

I'm guessing it's populating popular searches rather than something they've entered into their database.

With that being said, I think it's inevitable that the SCX10 III will be released this year.

I was being tongue-in-cheek (huge Axial fan but the 10ii is far from perfect), but better plastic is a gooooood idea. :ror:

I got where you were coming from. I was just saying that it isn't a bad truck, and a material upgrade is really all that it's lacking.

I don't see how the SCX10 III can be revolutionary, but I hope it's evolutionary. I know Horizon can improve on the Axial plastics and plastic balls!

Apparently the Ascender 2 is also coming! Not.

Wondering if that’s a hit just because of the 2 speed. I guess we’ll see if teasers start dropping.

"Ascender 2" has two result hits just like "SCX10 III".

Here's another example. Notice the auto populated results for the RC10. I don't think we're going to be seeing the RC10GT or RC10GT2 anytime soon.

Try it with your own RC models.

It could also be based on what has been searched by others on their site before?

Either way, I hope not. Usually by the 3rd sequel things go straight to VHS only to be sold at a discount store near you. If another substantial revision for the platform comes down the line, hopefully it's significant enough to deserve a new name, otherwise vandals may sneak in the hobbyshops and turn the "C" in SCX10 90° to the left on all their packaging. Yes, 'tis only a name, but people rarely get as excited about an updated model of anything as they do about an "all new" model with a different name. Kinda like how there were so many Ascender V2 revisions that it got released as an Element Enduro instead!... or was THAT the SCX10.3? :lmao:

If they sell any parts for it or have discontinued parts in their system, they will come up as a suggested result.

Hmm true...

The only explanation for the Ascender 2 then would be the 2-speed transmission if indeed that's how their search results work.

I don't need this to tell me that an SCX10 III is coming though. I've been convinced it will be released at Axialfest barring any cancellation due to the Coronavirus.

No. Bleeping. WAY.

Wait maybe just addressing event cancellations?

Either way, good thing I'm teleworking tomorrow. I'm not missing this!!!
