wpl utb18 wtf mega build

the "WHY THE FERP" am i building a mega truck build
i wanted to build a custom wpl yota for a while and after the little orange jeep i got the itch to build my self a mini capra but not like a capra but different based off a capra
i picked up the wpl yota flatbed body set did some test fitting and the capra cage is on its way im hoping the terriffs die down a bit so i can get some cheap axles and trans but if not its gonna be a slow build but i will get it eventually lol i hope

the plan so far is wpl cab
capra 18 cage skid and axles
1.9 swamp claws
and a 2800kv 2 in 1
thats as far as my planning got me once i get the axles ill make more plans but thats it for now

i wasent prepared with 2.5 hardware but i got some of it together

kinda bummed the kit is missing the rear crossmember and i dont need the rest of the parts that come in the other pack that has the rear crossmember

im trying to decide if i wana run the cab all the way forward or set it back so the body sits right up against the cage and the front axle would stick out the front pretty far though but would make it more comp like

i could run the capra interior if the cab is set back

or i could run the wpl interior if the cab is all the way forward

i guess ill have to see how it looks with tires on it

I’ve decided to split my f350 on my GK cage to where the top of the windshields meet up. The cage hands out the backside like your first pics but I bought some ABS to see how good my modeling skills are still to fill in the back small portion and extend the cab a bit. I’m liking where this is going.

ill match it up to the utb18 wheels and see what it looks like

if im not carfull this is gonna end up being a monster truck lol

so far im liking the looks of the assent 18 axles with 1.3 wheels the best but i dont know if i want to go that route

so the search right axle wheel combo continues

I’m running 1. ‘s on my sorta Capra, the key is tire height, I run the Jconcept tusks, they are 3.88, I also run the prolines on 1.9 rims, TA’s and they are 3.85, stock rims/tires are 3.65, they out preform the 1.55’s I’ve tried..
