I just got a used set of meus 2.2 heavy wheels for my optic. They are a 3 piece wheel with brass ring to hold the bead. I am looking for some plastic or alu rings for the rear wheels to help keep the forward bias. Has anyone cut down PVC pipe to use as inner beadlock rings?

I've 3D printed rings before and that works so I'd say yes.

You'd just need to find some pipe thats close to the same dimensions with the inner diameter being the most important. Then you'll need to figure out a good method of cutting the pipe nice and true. An old fashion miter box and hand saw might be good enough.

Dang, another reason I need a 3d printer. I figured I would use a hand saw and edge to keep it square. Thank you!

Switching rings between wheels can work but sometimes the rings aren't the same width or have the same ID at the edge and aren't swappable.

If you get the same wheels, just not the heavy version, then it should work.
