it says it was the 2nd time this year VCU had to close down because of a shooting. man i tell ya, somthins wrong with them virginians....

Don't confuse Va Tech with VCU........................at VCU, that dude would have been dead 10 seconds after he pulled the first gun. I attended VCU armed, and I was FAR from the only student that did the same.

You can't blame the police, or anyone else outside of the psycho that did the shooting. Blacksburg is a small, college town, with a very small police force. It would have been impossible for the local cops, and any number of cops, to have done anything to prevent this.

IMO, the school was a little late to react.................but hindsight is 20/20.

It is a sad day here in virginia. I know alot of people who attend virginia tech and some who i have yet to hear from....:-(

we had similar 11 years ago but it wasnt a school.
google Martin Bryant or Port Aurthur massacre if you want to have a read up on a guy that lost the plot big time.

my brother in-law works in the building next to where the shooting took place,a little too close,the news said word around was the shooter was looking for his girl friend,lining people up and shooting them execution style.
on a side note:the news all last week was girls gone wild was to be there soon.
VT has also had many bomb threats here lately,I don't pay attention to allot anymore ,maybe its a trend more and more
scares me
