battery charging help

i just got a elite 3600 7 cell battery and i have this charger http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXL348&P=ML my question is how long should i charge the battery before its full? only 15 munites? or should i run the charger longer? please lmk asap so i can get back to crawling. thanks

Specs say 2.5 amp charge rate. A 2500 mah battery charging at 2.5 amps will take about an hour. A 3600 mah battery charging at 3.6 amps will take about an hour...

You'll need to keep restarting the timer, until the battery is warm to the touch.

If this is the battery's first charge you should let the timer expire, and let the trickle charge run for about 10 hours.

well im the second owner when i got it it had 1 charge on it. so i should just keep restarting the charger till the battery is warm? .....maybe thats why i was only getting 15 min runs i was only charging it 15 minutes. thanks EeePee.

Yes. The temp should be in the neighbor hood of 100 degrees to keep it on the safe side.

yea its on the list lol. Right now i'd rather spend that $ on better rod ends.

it will probably take an 1 hour and 30 mins to get that thing worm!:lol:

lol yea. its been through 4 15 min timers so far so an hr and counting.
