Total Newb Here What to use for roll cages

Hey guys,
Total newbie here to RC Rock crawling world. I have built tons of 1:1 trucks though, and do alot of metal fab and cage work. I just bought a AX10, and about have it put together. I was wondering what you use for rollcages and exos? And how do you tie them into the frame. I am also wondering about lights. I want to do some kind of rock lights on it. Please let me know if you can help.

Welcome to RCC. Most of the guys here use 3/16 tubing as it is probably the most scale size for 1/10 scale trucks. A lot of people use brake line and get Harris safety silv 56 brazing wire and flux and braze it with a MAPP torch. A lot of guys use LEDs for lights, I buy my LEDs from here : http://www.lsdiodes.com/shop/ and then use this calculator: http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz and buy my resistors at radio shack

check out the Tools and Procedures section on this board... it will have any info you need on tubers and exo's.

Lights... that is electrical, ask someone else.

Usuall tubing is 3/16", and brazed with a good silver solder. The silver solder is good being its not extremely expensive, and can be used with a $30 torch setup.

As for mounting, you can just flatten part of the end tubing and drill a hole, and put the screw through.
