Harley's TCS X-Trail

Here is a quick peak at the chassis!

Like i said before, only the testers are going to be made of Delrin. The production versions will be the same thickness but will be made of Aluminum.

Without further ado.............................TCS X-Trail

These are not going to be held back for very long. Production is actually going to be starting very soon, so if you are going to be looking for a chassis to make your AX-10 look better you won't have to wait long.

Here's the "shorty" comp version named XTS (X Trail Short). This one will be a fully capable droop comp rig.

It will be interesting to see how the droop chassis turns out. Laser etching will look great on aluminum, can they do it on Delrin?

Love all the options that are coming out already for our kit, it is just what we wanted to happen!

Keep the great ideas and products flowing!

Thanks,
Axial

A few more details guys:

All the production versions will be anodizied black, and there may be some special etching on the first batch (as well as the testers).

Test chassis' should be ready soon guys. Keep an eye out for how to get one :D You will have to quick!

There should be pictures up tomorrow with the chassis rolling on 1.9's and 2.2's, probably with a body as well.

Excited to see them all rolling, these should do really well on the rocks!

I'm a acetal junkie. Is there a reason you won't be using it? Is it purely for rigidity?

I suppose since it's going to be black...I can make an exception

Any idea on rough pricing?

Oh and...."delrin beadlock rings" ??

I want one. Got to get in of the test ones or first batch. I have another AX10 still in the box, unopened. Was gonna save it, but this might make me open it.

Yes ridgidity is the main reason. To keep the ability to run the front shocks on the outside and use the stock skid we had to stay with 1/8th inch material and delrin just wouldn't cut it in the long run.

yes delrin rock rings :D pics tomorrow.

This has got to be one of the coolest scale chassis yet. I love the fact that it has an adjustable wheel base. Keep the pictures coming"thumbsup"

I think I just found a reason to buy an AX-10. Do you think you will have the chassis out before the GA scale get together? I like the short one it would look good under my Power Wagon(sp) body!

Here's what the prototype delrin rails with etched text will look like. I'm going to sell the delrin versions as "prototype testers" in our bargain bin for a great price. I'm not sure of the quantity or price yet. Enjoy.

If I wasnt already going the semi-scale route with my WK, I would definitely have to pick up one of those for my ax-10.

What are the rough wheelbases for both? I'd love to try out one of those delrin one's. I don't have AX10 axles to put under it, but I do have both some TLT's and WK's to try with it.

The wheelbase can be set for ~11" to 12.5" using the stock Axials links. If you are using different axles then you will have to make links and of course you can set it where ever you like.

Everyone keep a close eye on the thread, I will try and give a heads up to whenever they will be available on TCScrawlers.com (or kevin will post it up).

I will try and take some good pictures tonight.
