AWD, alloy wheels, bearings, Crest Spin brush motor (much faster than stage two for like $2), 9v 6cell power, modded heat sink, and probably a few other things from RS. When it was running it would do about 20-25mph. They are just made so badly. If RS would have decreased their tolerances a little they might have had somthing cool. I own 3 mini-z's now those things are cool!!!!"thumbsup"

Mini-Z's Rule!!!

The king of the mini RC Mini-Z

My only gripe with Kyosho on these is no 4wd overland or monster. They would be perfect crawlers if they were. The build quality and precision of these RC's far exceeds that of the X-MOD."thumbsup"

Stage 2 motor, red gearing
Alloy rear gear box case
Alloy dogbones
alloy knuckles
alloy shafts/outputs
radioshack tire upgrade with civic wheels (drag tires for pics, i rarely drive with them on:P)
Lithium-Ion batteries (wow huge upgrade)
atomicmods v2.2 board (need it to run the liths)
a ton of other stuff im forgetting about

it will probably only hit like, 35-40 right now. but thats with stock motor and gearing, pretty soon it will have an atomicmods motor. and I'll try to get some nekkid pics later

Wow your a moron. You don't need a POS v2.2 board to run liths I know From experience. And AtomicCRAP is over priced and Your not hitting 35-40 with S2 motor and liths. I know that for sure. Because My pede was way faster then that.. If what you said was some how true in Moron land then it can beat my mamba xxx-t on 7 gp 3300 cells

I didnt even fawking build the thing you idiot
I'm going from what he told me geez and the s2 motor he said something about toothbrush internals or some crap

I am standing by my statement that there isn't anyway this thing is going over 30. Even went and read more on them, no one has proven any real speed. Everyone seems to talk about using the tamiya speed tester which is again, no real measure of achievable speed.

Having had one that would do 20-25mph out of crap i had laying around my house i believe an x-mod could easily do thirty. 60 is believable as well. its just a matter of having a smooth enough surface to acheive those speeds. A freshly paved swept parking lot should do just fine. Dont get me wrong i think x-mods are horrible crap that i invested way to much time and money into. But in no way is 60mph un attainable from an x-mod.

Yeah, you could hit that easy if you chucked it off a cliff.

The guys in Thailand were getting some insane speeds out of the Auldey Race Tins (Tyco Canned Heats).

I'm pretty sure you could get some good speeds out of the X-mods too.

Sounds like a project...that I don't have time for.

anyone remember the cars from 10-15 years ago that are about the same size as xmods, that have wheels on the bumpers and ran in tracks with guard rails that steer them which wat they need to go?? hope that made sense

A slot car? which being a slotcar racer I hate it when people say its just pushing the trigger and letting them run, theres much more than that to it and they are much harder to race than a RC car. We have a slot car track here in broken arrow, its very busy, since we moved to a better spot and another guy took it over. Slot cars can get really expensive I have over $600 I race a little bit of everything.

I don't know that they were tamiya seeing that you could buy them at walmart, but tamiya may still make them, all I really remeber about them is that they were stupid fast and ran off 4 aa's but you could add a 5th or run a dummy battery

JIA those look similar, same basic design and track I just remeber them being 5 cell not just 2 but them things were da** fast too.

why on gods green earth would you even say you can make a xmod go 60 you cant. you can put it on all the little stupid dynos you want to. it will never do it on any real track nothing is smooth enough. i have seen pan cars going that speed just take flight for no reason at all they have quite a bit more mass to them. you could maybe do it on a teather but that is so gay i dont know why you would. maybe you could do it on a slot car track but its not really r/c any more and i dont think they would do it still. and by the way i am in no way bashing slot cars they can go that fast and faster. an xmod no way...
xmod= worst peice of crap i ever bought. well after a nylint that is.
