I guess I should start a build thread. I got my chassis from Clodstall and I am starting to build my first scale truck. I will be using 1.9s on this truck.
Specs:
BWC-S chassis
clod body
turned down tlt shocks
aluminum knuckles
tlt axles locked,bearings
pede tranny locked
RC4WD mudslingers
Diaz leafs (hopefully delrin leafs soon)
Moped esc
motor ???

Enough reading, time for pics.

I am making bumpers and cutting the pede today. I will drill the skid and mount the tranny today also. I have to install the crossmembers and turn down the shocks this week, I have never turned down shocks before and I dont have a lathe or a drill press.

I need to figure out what wheels to use on this build. My original plan was to run 2.2s but I like the way these trucks look with 1.9s.

i have some turned down ones if you dont like the way yours turn out, theyre unimogers i think.
thats alot of sanding, have you thought about just stripping the paint?
any cool body mods you have planned?

No cool body mods planned. I sanded all of the details off of this body when I thought the shaved look was cool so now I need another body. My 1:1 C-10 is shaved. I will run this one for now though. I will send a pm about the shocks.

I started stripping the body after it took hours to sand one side.

looking good Leon. i will take that body on your hands bud."thumbsup"

got something up my sleeve. no pics or build thread until it is too late.

hurry up and get this thing done for Nov 11. we can go anytime to Raven Rock and play at dark. get lights.

Got some bumpers started.

How you liking the chassis? I'm thinking about getting one from tony too.

I like the chassis alot. It is very strong, I tried to twist it once I got the crossmembers on and I was happy with the results, very little tweaking. I thought about powdercoating the chassis before I get too far with the build but I may just paint it.

Looks like your off to a good start"thumbsup" Tony does some nice work. Will be watching this one :)

thanks for the props on the chassis guys.

No problem man, anytime someone asks I let them know what I think and where I got it.

I just painted the chassis but I dont like the way it looks now. I will post pics later. I painted it my favorite color, gunmetal gray. I have to finish mounting the pede and decide what motor to run. I also have to do more body work and wait for my axles and slingers to get here.

Ok, I got the chassis painted, Stage 4 axles built, tires mounted and lift blocks drilled. I still need to order a straight axle kit and a motor.

Now I need to mount the pede and make a servo mount and install my anti-wrap bars.

chassis looks good black. might have to paint or powder coat my next one. I will still take that clod body from you Leon.

i will just get it at the end of the day on Nov 11th.

The chassis looks pretty good gray.

I am looking for a new one now and hopefully I will have it by then so I dont have to finish the body work on this one.

I hope to have this truck ready to run by this weekend."thumbsup"

I added more screws to my tranny since you lost yours a few times now.

I cant wait to see how other people set-up this chassis and see how they run.

The family thing is ok, my mother-in-law is recovering from her emergency surgery pretty well.
