1.0 or 1.55? Need help

I have a jeep hard body with a 7.75" wheelbase and is 4.75 wide. What would be my best option for a rig to start with? I've been looking and checking wheelbase and widths for a while now.
I would like to use 1.55 wheels with the new swamper from Proline but can't find 7mm to 12mm adapters to use on a scx24.
Any and all help would b greatly appreciated.

My research tells me that your wheelbase/width matches up close to the WPL trucks. I believe that their track width is right around 5-5.5 inches with the factory 1.2 wheels/tires. Calculating for scale with 7.75 wheelbase, It puts you at about 1:12.3 for a 2door Jeep, 1:15 for a 4door.

I have seen out there on some 3D print websites some 5mm-12mm adapters for use with the WPL axles to adapt to 1:10 scale wheels, making 1.55 wheels a viable option.

If scale accuracy matters to you, the math shows 1.2@12.3≈14.7 inches; 1.55@12.3≈19 inches. At 1:15 scale, 1.2≈18 and 1.55≈23. If you decide to go with 1.2 wheels, RC4WD has two choices in that size, Rock Crusher and Dirt Grabber. They come in at 2.65(32.6/39.75) and 2.72(33/40.80) inches tall, respectively.

If you do go the WPL route, here's a set of 5mm to 12mm wheel hub adapters. At 12mm, you can use a variety of readily available 1.55mm wheels. I just order a set of these myself for a project I'm doing on a WPL chassis.

I've used Dromida DIDC1144 7mm-12mm aluminum hex adapters in the past. They're cheap if you can still find them.
