Anyone have both and can offer a compare & contrast?

They're both very tempting, the 1/16 is "cute" but wonder about durability. What are the power options with the 1/10 and the stock system?

Sorry if this has been covered...

Two completely different things, neither of which is actually a rally car IMO. The 10th scale is a dis-propotioned 8th scale, that is far too wide and based off a Slash 4x4 short course truck. The 16th scale is the exact same platform (aside from a couple small changes) as all of the 16th scale platforms.

If you want scale realism go for a Tamiya 10th scale or 8th scale Kyosho DRX.

If you want a pure basher with Traxxas support get one of those two, neither catches my fancy though.

That is just my opinion, hope that helps a little.

i dont have a 1/10 rally but i have had a slash 4x4 and they take a beating , i do have the 1/16 rally and my boys and i race them every week and i have only broken a lower control arm in almost a year of racing. not very scale but lots of fun factor if you have more then one running , for the money you could have a very nice tamiya with tons of body options where as you are very limited with the traxxas

Thanks. I am looking at the 2 Traxxas cars for their 'bashability' mostly for fun and speed. I have a slash 4x4 with the brushless setup and its fun, just looking for something for fun around home (asphalt).

Nice location Dewey.

Why don't you just get a body and tires for your slash?

I have the 1 /10 Rally and love it. I have parts to convert it to Slash also. I run offroad SC trucks on the weekends and Rally during the week after work. Love the durability and speed!
