Hey guys, Im looking to do a build of my current truck, a 1965 Chevy C10, and the only body I found was a 1/24 scale model, which was WAY to small. So I found a 1/18 model by Sunstar, of a 66 C10 (Same thing). I was going to use this as a body, and make her pretty scale looking, but im worried if the motor will be able to handle that much weight. Any input?

I don't know about the motor itself, but the weight will definitely play a factor in how it handles terrain variations. It's gonna be too top-heavy. The slightest side-hilling will tip it over.

I've seen several 1:18th die-cast bodies that would look great on a scale build, but when I actually held them in my hands it was immediately apparent that they're entirely too heavy for RC use...

I used a metal body for my Explorer build(first run of the scale Blade chassis's) and for any actual crawling the body has to come off. Like BigMike said they are heavy. You wanting try a pick-up instead of, like me, a full bodied SUV, it might have less weight. I do know there have been a few older Chevy Blazers up on the Bay lately(around the years your looking for). GL
