Man, you do some amazing work. The cage came out awesome. You get any pics of the flex with the leafs springs? You think some wheel weight woulda helped? It helped on my Bruiser.

Thanks alot, im a noob, addicted to styrene now !
Do you think the jerry can needs those X indentions that they have?
I was thinking about making a propane conversion tank/keg for the back. Maybe?

But the springs took about 3 lbs of pressure to flex them at all, and the other "leaf" spring material is too wide and soft. back to taking apart wind-up toys.

Basically the truck had no flex, lol.

I think the jerry can looks good the way it is, there's no mistaking what it is. A propane keg with a feed line would look killer.

might be my next step i still need to do bumpers and i'm not exactly sure what i wanna do for bumpers but i made a winch to put on the front.

Best wishes to your cat, I hope she's feeling better.

Nice styrene work. I always cringe when I see the first "hack" pics, but you carried it off pretty good...

Thanks, I wasn't too sure about cutting the doors either, lots of sanding.

"thumbsup" Socks is doing pretty good she went to the vet again today and she gets her pins taken out 2 weeks from today."thumbsup"

Murdock, try Nitro Pull Start recoil springs. Here's the general flex I'm getting with the leafs in the back(bi-layered leafs) and a 4 link system up front(well actually 3)
While it is an older picture(early april) the link setup has been slightly altered and actually, it has more flex now 8) Also, love the jerry can and all the work you've done on it, isn't styrene working addicting?

by the way it's flexing on a DX2.0

thanks guys, my cat (socks) is doing really good. she is scheduled to have her pins removed tomorrow morning.

As for the the build, piece by piece it, and build it when you got every thing you need. That's how I roll 8)

It was good to meet you yesterday. Let me know the next time you run your trucks and ill see if I can get away. I have fished a few times under the atlantic blvd bridge...seems to be some fun structure at low tide! Great job on this build so far! Looks killer!

yup i still have it, although my cat has torn it up pretty good, but it still works.

Ive got one ive been building for a while now outside in the yard as well

very cool build, I have been thinking about something like that. love the chopped doors, that really makes it look like a serious trail rig.

On a side note, I am a dog person, BUT, I hope your cat heals fast and completly...and your friend is an ARSHOLE for not offering to help. people who can't control there pets, shouldn't have them:evil:

Anyways I'll keep check'n in on this build, keep up the good work"thumbsup"
