Hi everyone, i picked up one of the lindberg Grand Cherokee kits just after Christmas, felt that 1/20 is easier to work with than 1/24 in terms of my electronics, and you dont see many zj's on here and wanted a change from pick ups.

I decided to cut up my blade chassis with the intention of making it more adjustable sometime in the future. Also made some new leaf hangers for the front, might do the back too, just to make it more scale looking.

I also tried making a Warn 8274 winch, which i used the transfer case from a hilux kit i own and afew other bits and pieces :)

Looking good man, I've always wondered why there weren't more of these ZJ models around.

Got plans to paint/detail it some?

I've comp cut mine a little bit and running on the original 4-link set up with extended links, shocks and driveshafts.

Thanks man, nice travel on yours, it looks like it could crawl right over mine haha

I think i might hand paint the bottom part with grey like yours, seen heaps of 1:1 with the red and grey colour scheme. And unfortunately i'll have to cut into the front bumper so the tires dont catch, cause when they do they come right off the rims. Also thinking of doing a towbar with spare wheel carrier. Oh and also doing the engine in it aswell just have to get some funds together to get some paint.

that articulation came from the longer links (normal method with all thread and tube) and shocks (they're finishing nails, mechanical pencil parts and rod ends), I commend you for keeping the original frame/bedpan, I haven't tried that yet but have a 1/16 D90 that might work perfectly for it

don't forget to throw an ID badge "winch" in there to run behind the one you made, believe it or not those things make a serious difference on this scale

Thanks, and yes i was thinking about the retractable key chain thingy, was thinking of mounting it where the radiator would go, if i can find a small enough one.

Another cool ZJ! There are quite a few other Jeeps on here if you look far back enough, JK,TJ,YJ all the other 1/20 Lindberg trucks etc. I haven't updated these threads in a very long time so there are quite a few more with many of the same body's and even a few bodies not in the threads. Feel free to add any of your 1/20 - 1/18 builds.I think they look best with the micro parts available and let you have a bit more detail. I definitely encourage anyone to search way back for some of the other builds on these sites.
