1/35 4WD FORD F-150 DIY SET (New Product Preview)

I got mine today. I got the links made up and balls in the chassis before fatherhood called...6th grade finals this week and math tomorrow.

The parts are tiny.

I did figure out that a .032" stainless steel tie wire I have fits in the Allen of the pivot balls. The flatness from the wire getting cut is enough to hold on to screw them in. It'll slip when it bottoms out, too.

Today I got the axles and driveshafts mounted. There was a 'catch' in both axle diffs that I couldn't figure out. Finally discovered the screws that face inboard were internally catching onto the axle shafts. Removed them and it rolls smooth.

Taking example from the rig chevy55 built, I'm going with a CMS. But I figured out I could glue my stainless tie wire into the ball ends like I built my Goat links and go BTA, too.

Tomorrow I'll try to sort the pan hard and secure my servo. I may try to install all the electronics, also. But my motor is on the slow boat from China.

Nice work Brake Weight! "thumbsup"

FINALLY!!! The replacement UJ's have turned up and I've got a working Orlandoo again...

I've also put in a panhard link on the front and removed an upper link to make it work proper - used a spare link mount from the metal shafts cut in half, one end onto the axle and the other on the servo mounting.

Glad to have it in a running state again as it's a blast to get it over stuff in the garden, also cut down the springs on the shocks to make it run in droop...

I'm waiting on a motor to show up then I'll be able to try it out.

I have an HBX with a reduced motor. Anyone know if it'll fit? I can pull it and try when I get home in a few hours.

It won't fit. Gearbox and can are too big. I do have a 12mm brushless that could fit the gearbox if I could swap the microscopic gear over.

I had ordered some tires from Banggood to use as a replacement on my Losi Micro Rally. Chevy 55 had a pic with a set of LMR wheels/tires and it looked like a typical stanced 4x4.

So I found those tires and my LMR set and they are almost identical in size. I went back to Banggood and found what these tires go on and in the process found some wheels with a strikingly similar mount. WLToys A2xx tires and wheels.

The backspacing looks a little much, but can be easily cut down.

I can't stand an oblong wheel well. So I used the tire I had and sized up some things. A shovel handle wrapped in sandpaper worked very well.

Tires in question look like a 22" AT.

tires are seated. can't flop around because of the bearings. I think the differential gears were miss drilled. I haven't seen this on any forum. Thank you for looking and responding to my post.
