I've been running the RC4WD 1.55 wagon wheel rims for a while now and like them alot but they just don't have enough depth.... so I decided to hack up a set of semi wheels to get the depth I was looking for. Here's the finished product:

Start with a set of rear duals:

Take the one with the hex molded in and cut in two:

Trim off some of the inside lip to give the tire more flat area to seat on:

Gives ya a little more width too which is nice:

Almost identical outer diameter to the RC4WD ones:

...oh and don't forget the the three 2mm screws and nuts to attach the two rims together. Post up a picture here when you get them installed "thumbsup"

did you sand the tires down to make them look worn, or have you just run them long enuff to ware them out....? they look really good worn down like that haha...

Holy crap. Are those the $42 a pair wheels on there?

Their web site is confusing $9.41 for the set that I bought, the $42 price is for a different rim listed above the one I got.

Yeah did a little accelerated wear using a grinder to take some rubber off
