Looking to build a scale rig but I'm on the fence if I should go with smaller tires for torque or bigger for clearance. Is there any huge advantages over one another and does one come in better rubber than the other to really stick to rocks? Not finding exactly what I need through searching

A large 1.9 tire will go to most places that a 2.2 will. That being said it all depends upon where and how you drive. Along with how heavy your rig is. I like my krl's but my son has pit bulls rb and they will both pull very good lines depending upon where we are (sand mud lime stone gravel etc).

I've only ever run 2.2 and it's not a true true scaler it's a wealth type set-up, I guess I'd be wondering a popular set-up for a wraith in very difficult rock and dirt/mud terrain

TSL with double deuce foam is probably the best all around performance package and has been for years on a scale type truck.

I have 1.9 and 2.2 Super Swampers. The 1.9s give a more scale look and require more skill in technical sections. The 2.2s create so much ground clearance that the truck will just go anywhere. Almost not fun sometimes with the 2.2s.

I like keeping one or the other (whichever isn't currently on the truck) either in the field bag or in the 1:1 just in case i feel lie swapping out. Kinda nice.
